Yeah, it's so sad that Bob Neinast can't win in court or perhaps even in administrative battles. I've been following his story on the Society of Barefoot Living list and BF-Access subgroup. I just hope that he has success someday in securing the rights of barefooters to go barefoot in public.
i think its just the principal, that a man has to conform to a way that society thinks "is proper" if a man(or woman) is more comfortable in a more natural state, who are we to push our views on to that person.
The barefoot police, cool. Today you can be nearly naked in a music video, but don't wear shoes and you are either crazy or going straight to Hell.
You can be barefoot during the shoot, but even if you want to go to the bathroom during the shoot, it's treated as a bad thing. Not to mention if you don't wear shoes on the way to or from the shoot. Heaven forbid you run errands in between! The crazy thing is the attitude toward barefooters, not the barefooters themselves.
this reminds me of the naked soldier in «Catch 22» : what are you going to devise if the man who wrote the rules forgot to add an article prescribing to wear the uniform , or shoes ? btw, it is funny how people and even public authorities can get mad after such a trivial, mundane thing. seriously this issue is so important to deserve a second thought ? something that hasn't even to do with the "evils" of sex and sexuality , nor is so blatantly manifest as a hairy bare chest. it is all about the fucking unwritten rules, you know.
