yea so im starting school again, which means i'll be getting student loans, which means i'll have some money to spend on myself. im looking to update my wardrobe. all i own is dickies and ripped up animal shelter shirts. and you can see my toes through my shoes. i want to dress nice, get some slacks, nice shoes, a tie on occasion, all that. my problem is, when i dress up i feel like a douchebag asshole. i see peeps walking around in fedoras and tweed vests and i think it looks fucking dumb. maybe i need to just say fuck it and dress nice. i feel much more comfortable wearing rags. :xmastree: anyways im about to go smoke a big fat one.
Why can't you do both. Wear your comfy stuff when you are just hanging and wear something else when you are out and about. Try buying something that you like that is comfy and yet semi dressy so that it can be worn just about anywhere. It does not have to be miserable to wear.
And unless you are in a specific professional program, or maybe business, college is a time to wear rags.
there's clothing between rags and dress clothes. just buy some new tshirts. also, getting student loans doesn't necessarily mean you'll have extra spending money. it depends on how much money you made the year before filling out the fafsa.
On the smallest of chances you are at all serious with this- what the fuck do you care what the "cool" kids think? Surely there's presentable clothing that you'll be comfortable in.
yea of course im going to get some clean shirts for every day, i just mean that i want to dress snazzy at least one day out of the week. i just dont know how to go about doing it. dressing nice is a foreign idea to me. underwear: yes. student loans = extra money for me. it's hard to get investment capitol in today's market.
Dress nice if you want to, not because you feel like you have to. Dressing nice means different things to different people anyway. Just be yourself.
Well you have many options. But the simplest one is... Go to a nice clothing store and find one with a sales babe who is about your age and ask her to help you find clothes that look good on you. The other options involve approaching total strangers and most people are not comfortable doing that. A sales babe has to talk to you. It is her job.
Thrift stores... Buying new clothes doesnt have to be a douche' materialism thing man, sometimes you just need some new clothes. thats all.
maybe he wanted to work out his digestive issues first so the new clothes wouldn't end up with shit in them too.
i work with animals, mostly dogs, and every bit of clothing i own gets destroyed by paws and fences and doggy teef on my shoes. so i haven't had a reason to have clothes i wouldn't want destroyed :xmastree:
