Ok I had been taking some 25-30 mg of hydrocodone for a month and half everyday, now been off of it for a month now. I need something to feel good, So I am going to try poppy tea, how much should I start with, 2 large pods? Thank you for any information, newbie to the tea
Never had much luck with poppy tea, though I made opium tea out of actual opium itself a few times...lots of people swear by this stuff; given that your tolerance will have gone now, I'd be careful cause it can take you by surprise, and potency varies from poppy field to poppy field, from batch to batch, from one pod to another. Use two large pods but drink slowly, over a long-ish period, so you can guage the effects. Better safe than sorry cause if you go a bit too far with a powerful, pungent liquid like this, you can end up puking your guts out wishing you were dead! Some people really go for opium as opposed to the refined (not necessarily synthetic) opiates like smack, codeine, oxy, etc... It is a very different experience given the mix of alkaloids in the poppy, like the stimulant thebaine etc...I personally don't enjoy it that much. Sorry for the ramble, just been smoking some lovely dope and thought I'd try to provide advice even though it's fairly clear I can't!
They are coming this week. Just said large, untreated, no chemicals, tan dried pods. I dont wont to feel like so sleepy. I want a nice feeling to sit around and surf the net, loool. Will these do that? Starence whats your best method for tea?
I've found that rather than select two or three individual pods out of your bag to use, weigh out an average to large looking pod without the seeds, this gives you a good idea of an average weight per pod. Grind up all of the pods you have and mix it all together then just weigh out two, three, four, etc pods worth of powder. Mixing it all together insures that every experience is essentially the same (since alkaloid content is extremely variable as mentioned), whereas using individual pods each time may lead to a heavy thebaine experience one time and too strong a morphine experience the next for example. PS this is also a really good application for mushrooms as well, if that's at all your thing
Hi everyone! This is my first post. I've been reading this forum 4 a while now and was really interested in the poppy tea since I can only get about 10-15 oxycodones a wk. So I went online and they were so expensive. But I rushed into buying some small "decorative" pods for about $70 but after more research realized that you need the kind from the Papaver somniferum family. Most likely these were not since the web site was for like decorators. Uhg! Now I wish I'd just saved and got the real thing. Also there is a shortage and EBay has outlawed the sale of popy pods. Jesus! Whey can't they just stop with the government restrictions on everything. it just jacks prices up all around and makes it hell for us who just don't want to hurt anymore.
well I tried the poppy pod tea and it make me have such a upset stomach, so I tried kratom and I liked it better. But I am thinking of trying the poppy tea again. Many of the sites say they are for decoration, but who would sell pods for decoration for that much money, ummm so you know what i mean, try it out
Re poppy pods: If you have not tried them yet, then I'd advise you strongly NOT to. This comes from having years of experience with crafting. This good friend of mine started by buying them on eBay from various vendors. Then eBay declared them forbidden as we all know but the main vendors were easy to locate so all continued fine and well until this recent and very noticeable "shortage". Some of you might think the cause is a bad harvest. Not so. The main source in Arizona has been experiencing "difficulties" .... possibly legal ones (thank you Oh-Mighty Government for saving us from ourselves yet again!). I find it amusing that I can order codeine products (ranging from 8 gms to 30 gms per tablet) perfectly legally from another country...they come from a licensed pharmacist, come through US Customs with the proper declaration stuff, and no problem....but a poppy pod! Oh no...they can be grown legally but YOU CAN'T use them in the manner you wish. Gotta love the Govt and their f***ked up way of playing "let's change the rules so it looks like we're actually doing something to earn our 6 digit salaries. Back to why I said that if you haven't started using poppies, then don't: Reason is because they contain multiple alkaloids, it's not just morphine we're talking about. Once you start, you become addicted to multiple opiates and withdrawals are beyond tolerable ... The price you pay (for the pods and the addiction which happens quite rapidly) is sooo not worth it. If you're going to play with opiates, please stick to just one and don't open the Poppy Pandora's Box.
I was addicted to heroin, and I am sorry but opium for me, is not as addictive. Each person is different when it comes to different opiates. I went 4 months without any poppy tea, and the last month I have been drinking it again. with no withdrawals or problems like I had with heroin. so I think it is really silly to come into opiate forum and preach about not using natural poppies. just my 2 cents. to those wit han shortage, I have no idea what you are talking about, the vendors I use, are still selling them.
I agree, everywhere that ships over here has a shortage, and the ones that do have them are charging ridiculous prices. The day I decided to try them was right around the time they disappeared. Hopefully things get rolling again.
