So this time around I decided to try the twist n rip method. I have had these for 1 week now,

Sorry your dreads didn't work out. I was hoping that you'd have figured a way to save them.

Your new ones look really good, looking older than a week. Maybe that's to do with the fact your hairs still used to knots

i am leaving this set in. the other set i comb out for a Aleinware computer plus my other half really did not like the neglect look. she agreed that if i did the twist and rip method, she would not complain about me have dreads. i am just going to let them do their thing and grow fat like the other set

well the other set was awesome but i needed a computer to do my digital animation on and i did not have $2000, my other half bought me the computer so i combed them out since she did not like them. now i have a alienware and a new set of locks. over time these will thicken out so its all good.

I don't understand, the old set was starting to look really good, I'm not sure your girlfriend will end up liking the new set any more if she didn't like the other set, they won't necessarily look any "tidier". On a side note my wife always used to complain about my dreads. Since I've been threatening to cut them off she seems to like them a lot more...

 

sad to see the naturals/neglect dreads are gone but best of luck on your new set.
