Why when using shampoo on dreads (but not conditioner) does moisture lock in the dreads? Is there build up in shampoo naturally?

Moisture happens because of the hot water you use. I don't know I don't understand what you're asking.

Moisture happens when you get your dreads wet. Or your scalp sweats, or when it rains. Pretty dumb question...

Yah I doooo. The glitter doesn't really stay in my hair for long though. Yeah they do get hella boring after a while. I just finished my Karma Komba that I got in December! Oy! It seems that I have becoming obsessed with Lush products. I love their anti ageing face mask.

HA! I went for a job interview for them. It was just gay and I didn't get it. Also there was someone there and well, I didn't even know if it was male or female.

That reminds me, haven't you used their henna dyes? Are they good?

thank you! my dreads had a build up when i cut one if half and they had little pieces of the towel and white residue. I know there are homemade "shampoos and dr bonners" but if i found a shampoo with no residue, do you think that would be ok and cause less of a build up? well that and not towel drying lol

If you are really bothered, no redidue = no build up. I personally think its a bit of bull crap so I just use shop ones. But with new dreads it might help to use non res/dr b rather than normal shampoos since the shop shampoos have conditioners and softeners that "might hinder the locking process" etcetcetc blahblahblah

I had that phase, I literally was obsessed with lush. I'd loveee a job there except that you have to be way over friendly but you get like a 70% discount! I want to try that moisturiser that they go tfrom princess Diana's one or something. It's like €30 though

over here they did a deal with buying 2 bars. It's fun to alternate between them :) if you go in and tell them what hair/scalp you have. If you get dandruff they recommend the seaweed one <3

You'll not notice any glitter. Fuck me, you should try the glitter bar soap, ultimate shine it's called, fucking amazing and it lathers up amazingly you can actually wash your dreads and not just your scalp. Buy a shampoo tin or else your shampoo will disolve really fast.
