I had a question for anyone not from the UK - how intertwined are the crack and dope scenes, in the US for example? Here, almost any *dealer* (not middleman) who sells H also sells white. While they may have more customers for one or the other, its very rare to find spots where H is easy to get but white isnt, or vice versa. Obviously the reasons for the links for the drugs, effects wise, are understandable - I just find it interesting that the two 'really hard' drugs are often found together. I guess in the US its made different cause of the abundance of oxy. We don't get strong pharmaceutical opiates here in the same way, so I was also wondering how linked the oxy and H scenes are? Does your typical dope dealer also obtain oxy? Or does oxy get more linked with other pharms like benzos? Some thoughts and experiences from y'all would be appreciated
I think around me it's kinda separate, except for more inner city locations, but that is a system that works by runners that go get your shit from a supplier of whatever.
pharm's and skag are not really found together here. Not even my big OC dealers who pick up hundreds of pills a month have ever gotten skag.
oxy and H are not that linked, but of course its not in every case and Im talking mostly about my neighborhoods. Here, oxy is definitely linked to benzos, practically everyone that does or sells oxy does or sells benzos as well. I've been recently understanding why it was so hard to find heroin in miami. It because of the abundance of oxy and other pharmaceutical opiates. We're right next to Fort Lauderdale and Broward county, the pain pill doctor shopping capital of the country.
