i'm sick right now, but i doubt it's swine flu.

just curious from those that have had it for sure, what does it feel like? i googled this, but it seems like it's pretty much like the regular flu...

oh gee golley, you better pray you don't have it. You could like, die and stuff. Betters get that H1N1 shot pronto and make dem drug companies rich (richer?)! :p

The swine flu "epidemic" is blown completely out of proportion. Unless your severly ill, severly young, or severly old, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm almost certain that I had it earlier this year and it was more or less a severe cold (granted probably the worst cold that I've ever had). Alternating chills and sweats, sore throat, bit of a cough, lack of energy, and runny nose. No nausea or vomiting. Lasted a bit longer than a standard cold.

I assure you, reports of my death were GREATLY exaggerated. Its really no need to worry.

I think I may have gotten it earlier this month. My boyfriend got sick, showed all the signs of the flu, then gave it to me. I had a nasty cough, runny nose, sore throat, and on and off fevers. I didn't see the doctor, I just stayed home and slept. If it was swine flu, I survived!

Lies, if you had swine flu you would of died instaneously and in a most painful way. I think you spontaneously combust...better check the media on that one though, since they seem to know what their talking about. :p

Same happened to me. I'm still getting over the cough. I checked my college's website and it said stay home till your fever has passed, so I did. Now they're trying to make me get the regular flu shot AND the swine flu shot and I'm not doing it. I'm not immunosuppressed, old or an infant. It's just the flu.

    Flu shots are bullshit anyway.

I've had it. I've had worse colds. Sleep, Orange juice, and lots of tomato, onion and garlic. Spaghetti = good medicine, and all I could taste.

It's more of a respiratory thing. People do die from it. Here there were 40 cases of people on ventilators who were hanging by a thread and where doctors couldnt do a damn thing.

i went to the hospital last night with flu like symptoms and they made me wear a mask as soon as i walked in coughing. i couldn't even breathe, let alone with the mask on.
they said it could be the flu, but it looks like a head cold with a lung infection.
i feel like i've been run over by a truck. being sick is the suck!

I was sick about 2 weeks ago.....only felt really bad for one day and slept thru most of that day.

My nose ran steady for a week and still have a nagging cough that doesn't want to go away.

Stayed away from my kids the best I could but my youngest daughter got sick a couple days ago........we called and the doctor wanted to see her in case it was strep throat which I guess is going around also.It wasn't strep throat and he said they don't test for H1N1 anymore in Pa without underlying problems since 9 of 10 were positive.

In my case I've had way worse flu's in the past but it does seem to hang on with the common cold symptoms much longer.

i currently have the H1N1... its not as bad as most people think... i've had an annoying headache for the past 4 days... had a fever that has now just broke... coughing... achy joints/muscles... had chest pains the first day...

i have definitely had worse cases of the flu before..

I had a moderately bad flu around the time that the supposed 'outbreak' had hit our area. It was probably the worst cough of my life (the other symptoms were pretty moderate) but I lived.

I've had swine flu, I had it confirmed in a lab. Personally I found it not much different from a normal flu, except a bit harsher on the lungs. Its been a few months and flu season is long gone here, but I remember it quite well. This were exactely all my symptoms:

    - high fever
    - seriously bad, bad cough that tasted like blood and hurted a lot
    - muscle pain
    - mild headache

The fever lasted for exactely 4 days and the tiredness for another two days, within a week I felt like normal me again; except my lungs were a bit sore from the horrible blood-tasting cough. That was pretty much all, the rest of me was fine. Overal it wasn't even that bad, only the cough was bad and my lungs hurt from it, but I could eat anything and I wasn't even as tired as I normally am from the flu
