yep, I got em, after having 3 kids my body is scarred for life.

Thing is, some of them are very deep and the skin is really thin over them. this morning i felt a nasty little pain, and when I looked one of them (the worst one) was split open in 3 places. I KNOW this can't possibly be good, and I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem, and if so, how did you deal with it?

Ahh mate that sounds nasty, i'd freak if i was in your position? was it bleeding also? or was it just the skin that had split open. ouch! id go see a doctor.

    Take care.

Have you gone to a dermatologist? If not go.

I used mederma and scar creams like ointment you would put on if you had a cut under a bandaid..cuz thats supose to be for scars and streach marks are scars. also citrus is good to get rid of dead skin. actual lemons and oranges put the juice on your skin to rid the dead skin then moisturize with cucumbers or a lotion with vitamin e. other oils good for skin are grape seed oil and emu oil.

remember if you are using citrus on your skin that when in the sun you skin can burn easier after. and you would want to put on a sunscrean

have you ever tried MSM? it comes in pill, powder, and cream forms. i used to put it on my stretch marks and i probably should start again now that i'm not pregnant.
MSM is really good for helping heal injuries. (i'm sitting here re-reading my book on it realizing i NEED to be taking it) it's also great for hair and nails, relieving pain and inflammation, helps reduce allergies. good for heartburn, migraines lung problems, arthitis.. and so much more.
back when i was using it on my stretch marks i notice the skin seemed.. stronger .. more flexible.. and the skin was smoother
okay damn it.. i'm going to go run out and buy some for myself.. ahaha
read up on it before you take it though.. like anything it might not be right for you

thing is, I've used aloe and vitamin e and cocoa butter and various what-nots in the past. My problem isn't the appearance/darkness of them because as far as that goes you can't really see them anymore, it's just that a few of them are really big and deep and I don't know what can be done about that.

There does not seem to much you can do with cocobutter after the fact of marks. Like you said...the only thing I can think of is laser surgery

I feel your pain girl...I am scarred with them too. Ugh..don't you just hate it. Unfortunately, the only thing that can fix them effectively is laser surgery, and I don't see me having enough money for that any time soon. :(

10 drops of essential oil of neroli in 4 oz jojoba, sesame or almond oil rubbed into the stretch marks after your shower really helps.

Post pix of teh stretch marks. I'll tell you you're a MILF. You'll carry on an online romance with me for years, we'll finally meet years later and you'll find out I'm a woman. You'll have hot lesbian buttsex0rs with me and realize you never had to have stretch marks in the first place.

lol, thanks starfly. It's healed up now, but this is the second time it's happened. And it freaks me out because you can see the white scar tissue underneath where the skin was split.

I guess I need to check my piggy bank, because I think I'm gonna need more than lotion to fix it. At least for the worst ones I have.

Expensive cosmetic surgery, here I come! :(
