sorry if it's a bit big... i don't usually work with paint and so i'm not really sure what people will make of this. It's just on a sheet of cardboard using black and red school paint (i don't know what the technical term is for the paint that comes in squeezy bottles)... anyway...i thought i would just post it up here and see what anyone thought about it...
Josie!! thats so you! its great! i think i see more into it as i know you and i know how you work and i think its fantastic are you going to use it as an album cover?!?!
i was cutting out chess piece shapes to make a slit/cross/x type chess piece thing for a play we're performing 2 weeks today...and while i was painting them i thought it would look pretty good if i did it onto another bit of card...so it was just cardboard on cardboard...
Hey you guys are really fucking cruel you know. No Josie it shouldnt be your last. The fact is you have a style, and its a style that shine through with Stan the Anger Fairy and will all your poety and with your pictures and now with this painting. If people cant appreciate that style then they should shut the hell up, productive critisism is appreciated by all artist but pure and simple mean ness is NEVER EVER needed.
i thought the "mean" comments were pretty funny myself fair enough...it's not spectatular...but like fleassy said that's just my style...it's how i do my cartoony stuff and my serious stuff...it may not be melting clocks...but i like it...
i really like it, with a black frame, that would look sweet hangin up in my red room at home. awww i really really like it It's different!
art is not a competition or an atemt at impressing ppl but ure own personal expressions and attitudes towards differant issues and emotions
i think it's really great, josie! it is you, it's almost like your songwriting style in a painting. guys i'm shocked at you, what about creative criticism and input? this isn't a site to put other people down... sheesh man. jaz
Indeed ... and it's important to have the skills to be able to convey your message and the imagination to experiment. If you don't learn the methods your vocabulary will always be limited. Talent takes you only so far and hard work takes you the rest. Nice one Josie .. I see you in it for sure .. keep on dude. Peace
