considering selling weed...

i kind of want to start selling over the summer, not like a lot but just something to do on the side since i really need money... I'm not sure where to start though... apparently my home town has a bunch of people selling right now but theyre all selling dank for like 20-25/g probably like 65/8th. and i dont really care THAT much about making tons of money, like i'd rather make people happy so i want to price it at like 15-20/g and maybe like 50-55/8th.

i dont know how much I should buy to start with though... how much should I expect an ounce to cost if an 8th of dank around here is around $60?

 

You should be able to get an ounce for anywhere between $300 and $400. Probably around $350. You'd end up with $440 if you sold the whole ounce in 3.5g increments. Not too much of a profit.

 

And that's assuming you don't keep any of it for yourself. lol

 

I've said it before, I'll say it again. The economics of selling pot has not changed since Wm. Burroughs wrote Junky way back in the '50s. (Go read the book, it's a beatnik classic) Selling to your friends, cutting them some deals, you might be able to support (part) of your habit. (Is that worth the risk in your state?) but to really make money selling pot, you need to be buying bales of the stuff.

 

I'll say it's changed. 50 bucks a kilo in the 60s. (Yes I walked to school in the snow)

 

Yeah man low time selling doesn't really get you anywhere. The profit you do make is usually spent real quick and especially when you move it slow.

 

If you have enough people to sell to, and if you have enough self-control not to smoke too much of your shit, then you can at least smoke for free. It also wouldn't take too long to work your way up to at least a QP, if you do it right. Then you'll be able to stay stoned most of the time for little to no money.

and like others said, there's not much money to be made, ESPECIALLY since you probably won't be able to get an ounce for less than $400. Maybe you can though, idunno.
You need a really good connection to make any money that's worth your time and risk, and getting a really good connection is kind of hard. If it was easy to get a really good connection for the stuff, then everyone would be selling it, thus making that connection not really any good.
Maybe you should start planting some seeds, after all, it is that time of the year...

plus, you shouldnt be advertising this stuffs on the interwebz...

if you do end up doin it, you have to know either a lot of people that buy occasionally or habitual smokers - but they probably already have a dealer

If you can sell both reg and dank, you make more off reg if you buy it in bulk. I donl like holding anything bigger than a qp, so i buy weekly reg and bi-weekly dro.
In these hard financial times, it can allow you to at least pay bills and have a little to smoke and have fun with.

based from your previous threads (even though you aren't going to do it) i wouldn't even consider it... if you get ripped off buying eighths i don't even want to know what dealers would do to you if you're buying ounces.

if eighths are about 60, expect to drop 400- 410 on a zip of dank headies. sell 28 for 20 each and you make about 160 profit

Prices certainly have changed, but, overall, the economics of selling pot have not. Anybody who really likes to smoke pot is going to have a hard time turning a profit on a 1/4Lb. Keeping enough weed around to turn a profit on (a pound or two) and a scale, and baggies, and CASH, and keeping all this out of sight of nosy parents or siblings or roomates looks to me like it could cause more problems than it would solve.

that depends on the price though. if you can get a cheap QP, you can sell eighths, quarters whatever for cheaper, therefore move it quicker, not have time to smoke too much, and turn a profit.

 

if i was selling i wouldnt be smoking much at all.
