My 360 is gathering dust. :(

I am now on summer break. :)

I am going to have a little more time than I do in the other seasons.

Are there any great games out there for the 360? I am a fan of all genres, almost.

A little background... My overall favorite genre would have to be RPG. My favorite game of all time... that's very tough. It would have to be between FFVII and Ocarina of Time.

So, are there any games out there for the 360 that you would suggest? Any that flew under the radar? I do not care if it is an older 360 title or brand new. I have been away from the beloved world of videogames for almost a year. I have been a less than casual gamer for that span. I have both of the GOWs and both Assassin's Creeds (I assume those games would be mentioned).

Thanks a kagillion for any help/suggestions. It is supa dupa appreciated!

Note/Question: Is Final Fantasy 13 any good? I have read a multitude of mixed reviews.

    Thanks again.

Im a big xbox gamer too. on and off the past three years, Im at almost 25000 gamerscore. I havent played many new titles lately so, I couldnt help you there.

Not sure if youve seen it but, Dead Space. Excellent game. Very scary. Its third person like Gears but, Alot more memorable.

If you have ODST. Pop it in, and give Halo Reach Beta a test. I played it yesterday for a few hours. and its honestly a million times better then Halo 3. It plays like an online game should.

    hm what else

    Prototype is good
    Kane And Lynch: Dead Men
    Time Shift
    Red Faction Geurilla
    Chronicles of Riddick

Sorry can't think of much else. Ive been playing all my old titles alot. Are you into RTS? Red Alert 3 was good on the xbox.

idk much Xbox games, but FFXIII is fantastic if you enjoy storytelling and lots of cutscenes. and if you don't mind the linear-ness, which i don't get why people complain about it in the first place since everyone loved FF10 and most games are linear too (well at least people most of the time don't exercise their freedom in some low-level area of the game). so i think FF is great besides the slightly cliche dialogue outcomes.

Chronicles of Riddick is awesome, seriously. Some of the best voice acting in a game ive ever heard. AI is terrible though, and dont bother with multiplayer, its even worse.

Prototype is some sick shit. A real sandbox game. pickitup!!!

Red Alert 3, also amazing. although im pissed because my allied campaign is messed up, and its not giving me achivmenets now.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I do like RTS. I love all of the age of empires and enjoy CAC as well.

I think I may make Red Dead Redemption my choice, though. It comes out in about two weeks.

About FF13... I have to admit, I was urked when I heard it was a really linear game. I may wait for the price to drop before I make a purchase. I am a huge FF fan. I haven't played any of the MMORPGs, though. I am a bit upset with the lack of new final fantasies that came out since the PS2. I would have thought we would have seen more and an epic. I really liked 10 and 12 was great, but none have been epic since 7, IMO. I enjoyed 9 the most out of all of the post FF7 FFs. I did not like 8 that much... :( I wish I could say I did, because that's what I hear people compare 13 to.

If you are a fan of RPGs, a beautiful, engaging, and entertaining title right up your alley would be Tales of Vesperia. It's been out for several years now so you should be able to pick it up for cheap.
If you aren't familiar with it, it's the latest installment in Namco's long running franchise hailing back from the Super Nintendo days. There are no random encounters (you see the enemies on screen and if you desire to fight you simply make contact with them), and the combat is 3-D, free roaming 100% action-oriented. It plays like a fighting game really.
It's an gorgeous game with lots of atmosphere, charming locations, endearing characters, fun gameplay, and an amazing story, I honestly can't recommend it enough.

people compare it to 8?? uhhh its nothing like 8. at all i'd say. its way more like 10. in the beginning of the game, the battle system is pretty narrow because certain characters will have certain jobs, but once it opens up and you get different moves and such, the gameplay is as fun as X-2 (which is real fun and doesnt get old if you havent played it). the structure of it is super similar to 10 cuz the linear-ness opens up kinda near the end when you can travel anywhere basically.

what helps me decide games is gamerankings.com

Dude. Im really glad to hear your into RTS games. Its a great genre.

Il give you a little insight in Red Alert 3.

After the events of 2, the soviets lost the war, and the allies are on there way to moscow. To save there asses, The Soviets go back in time, and kill Albert Einstiein. Through a series of events. World War 2 never happens, America stays in the great depression longer, and with no Hitler to invade Russia, they are able to expand deep into europe.

The other problem. America never nukes Japan, and so they expand uncontrollably, and become the third faction in the Red Alert Series, with Japans technolgly greatly overpowering both the allies and the Soviets.
