ugh....for one thing...being called a "chick" is pretty annoying. it's also difficult to deal with the fact that there are so many stereotypes out there that are still going strong...just watch a commercial. people have certain expectations for what we are still and what we are capable of accomplishing, and that can be extremely annoying if you're trying to do something that's not "typically female." there's also the fact that almost everywhere on the globe...including the U.S. (almost especially the U.S.) is built on patriarchal standards....men still control almost everything, and many don't realize exactly how easy they have it. As women, we only make about .75 cents for every dollar a man makes, regardless of whether we have the same education and same training and same skills. it's ridiculous and the list could go on forever
Fortunately for us men, your generation of "feminists" is starting to get old and is dying off. Younger women of my generation don't constantly search for sexism in a world where women have every opportunity a man has. They don't complain Name for me one job you have had where you are paid less simply because you are a woman. Then, look up the book "The Wage Gap Myth" by Warren Miller, a former feminist. Every job I had ever had I am paid on a flat rate of seniority. The longer I work there, the more I am paid. 95% of all jobs work this way. Salaries can be negotiated, yes, but only after proving your value to the company through hard work. You have to understand that companies are trying to make as much money as possible. Paying people less does not result in company growth. Only be encouraging and promoting hard work as much as possible does a company grow. And wages are incentive to promote hard work. If I thought I could start a corporation and pay women 75% of what I would pay a man, I would do it. In fact, EVERY corporation would do it. I mean, could you imagine a multimillion dollar company who is able to cut it's wage budget by 25%? Every single company out there would be firing all the men, and hiring only women. The wage gap is a ridiculous myth, and there is no proof of it what so ever. The only time men make more money than women is if they work longer hours, or in a dangerous or unpleasant position. In this day and age, I would consider the hardest thing about being a woman is being valued only for your youth and looks. A glance at a magazine, movie, or TV show is obvious proof of this. As a man, I don't have to deal with that in the same way women do. And if I saw my gender constantly objectified by willing men, I would probably pull my hair out.
Being a chick is hard, but so is being a man- WHY DON'T WOMEN MAKE IT EQUAL? Or men? STOP COMPLAINING. geez. yes, my periods suck. yes, having children will hurt. But I have NEVER complained about being female, or tried to make it like we have it so much worse than dudes. we BOTH have it rough. get over it.
you're talking about commercials, yes? ...how about magazines like Cosmo, with centerfolds of sweaty, muscly guys with a pillow over his crotch? Not all guys are like that, but women most certainly make it known that they like the "perfect" type of man- whether it be through magazines or commercials. If we can drool over that (not me, but hey), guys are allowed to drool over women in bikinis or french maid outfits or whatever!
Periods and child birth obviously. But women usually have to worry more about getting pregnant to. And dealing with stupid boobs. But other than that, we're the same as men Just don't have to worry about boners in public. But i think periods are the biggest thing, periods SUCK. And it's easier for guys to go pee in the woods. But yeah, other than that, we're the same. Just in different bodies.
I always say, now is the best time ever to be a woman; especially if you're a really attractive woman. I wouldn't have wanted to be a girl in earlier times, but this day in age it's not just a man's world anymore (unless of course your in someplace like the Middle East). So if a chick has some brains to go with her beauty... the world is her oyster.
I'm not aimed at that. And also, i think guy's life is harder than women's life. As a girl you dont HAVE to make up 1 hour every morning, it's cause you WANT to makeup 1 hour. If men would take 1 hour every morning to look more beautiful, we would do it (Daily creaming, precision shaving, parfume, etc) But we DON'T WANT it. So we don't... My girlfriend hate cleaning up the house, but when i'm doing it, she tell to stop to she continue it. That's cuz she WANT to, not because they HAVE to. Beign a girl is so fun i think. Can refuse to lift weight things, like beer packs, or whatever. Men cannot because if he don't wanted to, everyone would say hes a faggot. Girls can talk about the feelings and problems to friends. Men can't because again, he would look gay. Girls almost always get their dinner at restaurent paid by their male friend or boyfriend. They're always respected. They cannot be hit by men, (but girls can hit men) girls can cry to their family or friends without looking gay. Girls can find jobs almost everywhere, and most are very easy. 70% of the current couples in 2009 are actualy led by the woman It's relatively easy to get a boyfriend beign a girl, even more easy to get a "One-night" sex. And their sexual advantage over men is over numbered. (multiple orgasms, stronger, etc...) Get discount on most things, (Car insurances, meeting site, etc)... I'd love to be a girl.
Haha, let's see where you're wrong. 1. Yea, ok, girls just love spending an hour each morning getting ready just like guys love having to shave every morning when there's only a tiny bit of stubble. You do what society forces on you, basically 90% of your value as a human being as a woman is based on how attractive you are seen as by society. 2. Your g/f may either trying to be nice and in reality would like you to help with her, or she just may actually enjoy cleaning. Guess what you don't need to be a woman to enjoy having a clean living space. 3. Men have on average 60% more upper body strength than women, if someone needs to carry a 30 pack it makes sense for the person who doesn't who can do it a lot easier to do it. Not to mention the fact heavy things aside men often do shit like that in a patronizing way. 4. Yes girls can talk about their feelings more, that one I'll give you. Though on the flip side if you're a guy and you have a problem and you say "nah man I don't want to talk about it" your friends are likely to leave it at that and not keep pestering. 5. Yup, women often get their meals paid for, they also on average make just under 80 cents on the dollar compared to what a man makes. 6. Girls shouldn't hit men either but the fact remains as I said men have on average 60% more upper body strength and 45% more lower body strength. There's a reason society has generally never had it ok for men to hit women, for the same reason men aren't supposed to hit someone 1/2 their size, there's no honor in it..................................except .......that doesn't stop men, the cases of domestic abuse on women by men is far, far, far, far higher than woman on man. 7. Jobs, yea, except people take you less seriously in most professions and you make less money. 8. It's easier to get a b/f as a girl but you also have to deal with mad creepy people hitting on you constantly. 9. Speaking of having mad creepy people hit on you, don't forget about sexual assault and rape. 10. Alright, car insurance is cheaper, medical insurance cost more. Regroup and try again. But actually despite all that being a girl is better.
Well grazie, I tried my best lol *edit* Mainly because that post seemed like another endless fantasy by a male on what female life is under the assumption people do stuff for you and you can get all the sex you want and it makes everything all hunky dory. Even in the west it's still quite a patriarchal world.
I don't think that 60% Strengh is true. Muscles devlops same way as a woman than a girl. Men stronger cause girls don't want to lift heavy objects so men lift it for them, which build muscles. I remember when i didnt had a gf, girls was stronger than me. But now that i have a gf, i must lift her bags, grocery bags, beer packs, etc and overtime i got stronger than her. But at first she was actually stronger than me. And her lower body still stronger than mine. We did the test with 2 identical 18 speed bikes, we started on the 18th and we did a race, and she won.
That's an alright post, but it is generalizing once again. 1. Metrosexual. Look it up. People do care what a man looks like, I have personally been rejected job applications because of the way I looked. Plus, shaving is really, really annoying. I have a beard at the moment and people are laughing at me. 2. Men clean, that's ridiculous. And even still, those broken doors, lights, car, they aren't going to fix themselves. 3. You contradict. One moment men are stronger then it's done to patronize. If a girl told me that, then I would gladly let her try. That's just being rude. 4. Guys don't talk about feelings as much as women. It's not gay to talk about them, I am a man and I talk with my friends about things, but mostly we drink beer. If a man has a friend who calls him a 'faggot' when he is down in the dumps, he shouldn't be friends with said person. That point is a man generalizing his own sex. 5. Women get paid less, but until the day both men and women take on each and every job on the market, then it's not fair. I agree women should get the same wage, but maybe the same number of women should join the army, or become a fire fighter, or even clean shit filled toilets. 6. You said it yourself, girls shouldn't hit men. Just because we are stronger physically does not mean we are stronger mentally does it? Women should not have too much trouble holding aggressive feelings back should they? 7. Basically answered. Plus it's a stereotype invented by women more than likely. Women are respected in the work place. Prove me wrong. 8. Creepy men? Tut tut. That's a generalization. Society says we should court women. Women expect us to, more so. 9. I don't know about medical insurance, we have the NHS. But in Britain, we all get free medical- but women's car insurance is still cheaper. That seems unfair. Look, both men and women are just the same. We aren't bigots, we just see things from our side of the fence.
Of course, then if you do happen to be really thin, then you have to be told constantly by other girls that you must be anorexic and you need help. So no matter what you look like, people will try to make you feel bad about it.
Having birth is 1 or 2 times by life(or more). We, men, must do male things EVERY DAY, And if my friends wouldnt be like this, i couldnt have any friends. And girls arent paid less. They got the equal salary. At my jobs, girls do same as me, but they dont have to lift heavy objects, wash things, etc, they just have to answer phone calls, and i must do that too when girls arent there, and we got the same salary. Unfair. Also, in a couple, if the guy want to have sex, the girl must accept. If a girl want sex, we got no choice to pleasure em, or they'll get upset and would want to broke... This is ridiculus !
No, men build muscle because of testosterone, estrogen is not conducive to building muscle and will in fact destroy your muscles, testosterone builds muscle, estrogen retains fat and water. It's generally worked out in evolution, men tend to like women soft, women tend to like men hard. A bike isn't a good example either, the entire point of a geared bike is so you can shift gears and keep the physical strain needed on every pump the same as the incline of the road changes. Bikes are endurance vehicles, not strength. How many jacked up bicycle riders do you often see?
1. Eh, metrosexuals are often generally the scorn of many jokes. While men do have to take care of their appearance you can't compare it to the same level women are expected to go through. Like I said, basically 90% of your value as a human being when female, especially a young one, is how attractive you are. 2. I know men clean, still doesn't change the fact a lot of men still hold cleaning to be women's work. As for light bulbs, doors, ect, wouldn't you yourself be generalizing there. 3. Because it is both, men are naturally much stronger then women but it doesn't mean they can't patronize women too 4. It's generalizing because it's true, just like saying men are stronger then women is generalizing, but it's generally true. Men as a whole are socialized from day one not to talk about their feelings and hold stuff in, i.e. man up, and you can see it in how literally painfully awkward it is for a lot of men to bring up anything emotional. 5. The problem is it has nothing to do with what gender is taking up what job, people from groups to governments have been studying this for 40 years and taking what job into account is the most obvious variable they know to keep in mind. The pay gap is always in reference to men and women in the same field of work. 6. What? I think both genders are pretty good at holding back their aggression otherwise there'd be a lot more assault cases out there. 7. No, this doesn't just apply to working, this also applies to being the consumer, go into an electronic store, software developer, engineering, architecture, anything mechanical, financial industry, politics, you know what basically anything that isn't home design, teaching or nursing, and see what the gender difference is. 8. Yes except a lot of men don't know when to stop, and it's not just courting, when was the last time you had a cat call about your ass or tits when just walking down the street to the corner store? Or "accidentally" brush against you. 9. It's not fair, but this is where statistics are the enemy, as long as its in the hands of for profit companies they will forever throw out statistics to justify the differences in both car insurance and health insurance in the pursuit of more $$
