thats interesting. i can only imagine a blind person would experience visual effects far more complex than we can imagine. and the thoughts of a deaf person would be incredible.

I bet it would be something amazing. Probably just as hard for them to describe it to us as it would be for us to describe something their missing sense would otherwise pick up.

I suppose you could pseudo-simulate the experience. Use sensory-deprivation for a long time - I'm talking days. All dark room, soundproofed, no leaving - enough food and drink in there to keep you alive. I'd recommend using sleeping pills to just snooze away most of the time.

Then dose yourself and see what happens.

Nope, you'll never know what it would be like. Your mind knows what vision is. Your mind knows what sound is.

If you were BORN without the ability... you live in a much different universe than people who either have it or have had it and lost it.

well there is only one way to solve this problem, make friends with a deaf person and a blind person and trip with them...problem solved.

    Like I said; pseudo-simulate.

I don't think pseudo is anywhere near close enough to be a relevant comparison. It's not about not seeing it right now, it's about it not being there at all in any form. Memory or even the vaguest sense of knowing.

Nope. Not that it matters what we have to say about it either way.

If I were to speculate I would say a deaf persons trip would be more like a fully functioning persons trip.

I had a blind guitar teacher who I know tripped and he loved weed. He wasnt completely blind though and i never really asked him about his trips. He had really good ears so I bet sound was enhanced quite a bit and possibly the body trip (fusing with objects, dissolution) is more extreme.

When tripping we can have senses we don't normally, guess it'd be just as ineffable as this

ah, i just caught the pseudo simulate part...

yea it would be super hard for them to share their experience with us, most people already have a hard time describing trips already

well i just came across this on the net :

"There are two categories of blind people
(1). Who are blind by birth : These people do not see colors in their dream. Their dreams includes only noises & emotions.

(2). Who became blind due to any happening in life: These people see colors in their dreams but the intensity of the colors is associated with the time when they last seen the colors in their original life before being blind

don't "see" in dreams because I have no visual images on which to base anything. Instead, my dreams are very rich with the senses of my world. My girlfriend (she is sighted) and I have conversations about dreams all the time and we often share dream ideas. It's in the interpretation where we differ. I hope that helps a bit."

so i guess the person who has seen a little at birth might get some visuals
