good hello to everyone here, this thread is about my experience with group hugs. Well me and two of my mates decided to go to every person/group of people in the streets to ask them for group hugs. It was soo funny because it was kinda unusual to be this social in London, and plus we're teenagers, we already got this reputation of being you know anti social. So anyways, for about 2 hours we got no hugs what so ever, the only thing some people did was just smile. I was like Jeeze i dont get this, if you offer the people something positive, they won't give a damn about it, but when you start being negative, for example cursing them , that will get their attention. Plus some individuals , epsecially middle aged women, would just screw us nastly !! Anyways i was happy, because i tried to spread peace and love this way, So my friends, how was your group hug experiences ? had any ? or wats ur reflection on this ... Peace xxxx
lol, aww, yeah its sad but true ppl dont like to get close with strangers anymore. espechially being you are young, they proberbley didnt trust you, thinking you was pick-pockets or something. i guess stuff like that is ok, in the right place and at the right time. but yeah good on you for trying, more fool them for refusing. cs i bet alot of ppl out there are in dire need of a hug!
imo, the right place and time for normopathic people is when they are paying for hugs (dancetherapy, Amma maji ma, so on) the best thing for the planet would be a salvation loving(/fucking) army (see khrisnamurti). of course i agree.
Have you seen the "free hugs" videos on YouTube? Maybe if you and your mates do it again, you should have a big sign saying "Free Group Hugs" so people might come up to you, rather than you having to stop people and explain? Spread the love!
Yes ice-nine , wonderful idea i just saw the vids on youtube, wow, they're so intimate especially the ones in scotland, XD Peace
I must admit if someone tried to hug me I would be pretty reluctant, but only because I would be confused as to why they would want to do such a thing
Well ya gotta look at it this way, it's a sweet idea, but i don't think it was ever acceptable to just jump up and hug a stranger, maybe if i knew it was coming that would be ok, but to just walk up and put your arms around me, naw, don't do that....
It is really sad that we find it odd to be nice to each other in public. This is why music festivals are good, everyone if your friend.
Ha, i can be nice to people without them touching me, i don't like to be touched by people i don't know...
Haha just the other day i was wearing a top that said...I love hugs...and some mature gentlemen actually cuddled me *it actually made me smile* Thumbs up in agreement
