I plan to start working on a project for my blog @ http://digitalmeltd0wn.blogspot.com within the next couple of months. Basically we will be posting at least one album from every country in the world. I could use a little help coming up with a name for the project though. I don't want to use a generic name, such as "World Music Project", or anything overly complex and long. Any suggestions that you all might have would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm also looking for contributors if any of you are interested. Even if you only wish to contribute one album from a single country I would be willing to have you aboard.
our singing earth , an international map of musics i think you'll have alot of fun , and many new friends . a guy name of Gunther Schuller got a nobel in music a few years ago . he says " all musics are equal " .
I'm not sure if that is supposed to be one suggestion, or two. I do like "Our Singing Earth". I would like to see more suggestions though, so please keep them coming.
I don't normally bump posts, but I desperately need to come up with a name as quickly as possible. Considering this will be a massive undertaking, I need to post an overview of the project on my blog soon, and request that some of my readers volunteer to participate. However, I need to finalize a solid name for the project before I make an official announcement concerning the project. Any help that you all could provide would be tremendously appreciated.
What a strange coincidence. I was actually considering using "Deep Nutsack" when I first came up with the idea for the project; however, after running a search, I was shocked to discover that another blogger has already taken the name for his own project, which coincidentally enough, is also focused on world music. If you have any other suggestions as brilliant as this one, please don't hesitate to share them with me. Thank you for responding Justin. "Visions of Music" is nice, but I need a name that is more informative regarding the nature of the project. I would like for the name to make it apparent that the project is about music from around the world, and while "Visions of Music" is quite catchy, it isn't a name that conveys the overall concept of the project. With that in mind, do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks for the useless suggestions. Now I know why I haven't posted here in years. With the exception of a few individuals, the overall maturity level here rivals that of a kindergarten class.
