The many form of the Allman Brothers

The Allman Brothers, to many the mere name brings reverence to the musical world. So well have they crossed decades of boundaries that they are know to be a classic rock band but as a rock band that has passed through the many fades and fashions of the music industry to remain true to the sound that they pioneered over 20 years ago. Also through the loss of members they have still thrived by maintaining a level of musical talent way beyond its time. I am interested in hearing other peoples perspective on this matter. Please enlighten me to the ways others love the eternal Allman Brothers Band.
