I'm trying to find some alternative therapies for dealing with Crohn's disease. My boyfriend believes he has it but has no insurance to deal with doctors. Any useful advice?

Tell him to look up H. Pylori, it's a bacteria that can cause symptoms like peptic ulcers, gastritice, nausea or a whole mess of other related symptoms, when I was a kid, doctors weren't even sure what H. Pylori was and I spent 10 years dealing with them over it, they finally wrote it off and intestinal gastritice and told me to do a bland diet.

it sort of helped but I'd still get these nasty flare ups that would have me doubled up in agony, like a white hot BBQ fork was twisting around in my gut, seriously wished for death on numerous occasions as it didnt seem like there was any sort of solution.

Finally got online and started researching my symptoms, found they matched many cases of H. Pylori and that the common treatment was a harsh series of antibiotics which may or may not work for the patient (An Uncle was taking the antibiotics for 3 years, ended up with stomach cancer) Soooo I did research on antibiotics and found out about oil of oregano and colloidal silver, used them both and my symptoms went away within a week.

Now let me warn you about Colloidal silver before some little troll child with quick Google reflexes hops on to warn you about the dangers of Agraria,,, Less than 1% of folks using something called Colloidal silver have come down with Agraria, in which the silver ion's cluster together or the user takes a very strong concentration for a prolonged period of time, and these silver particles get stuck in the pores as the body tries to sweat them out where they oxidize and cause the skin to turn a blue grey hue.

Some people are stupid, they use it to solve a problem and figure that if it makes them feel better then they should use it all the freaking time, and of course more is better right?? Kinda like Veruca Salt from Willy Wonka eh'?

So yea, research, use it properly, dont look for super concentrated preparations etc and you wont turn blue. If it was such a big risk, all our Grandparents and so forth would be blue as it was a commonly prescribed antibiotic up until the 1930's when Penicillin hit the market.

The Oil of Oregano is good stuff too and has no risk at all of turning you blue, I only recommend both as I used both then (6 years ago) and it worked great. Just last month it seemed it was coming back so I used just colloidal silver and it's gone again, but then it hadn't had much time to really colonize my digestive system so I pretty much nipped it in the butt.

Hope he feels better soon, nasty stuff. :cheers2:

He says he used to be able to deal with spicy but can't anymore. He used to be a vegetarian, and doesn't eat much meat now. (we have a mostly produce diet). Greasy ewwww.... for me no. for him about the same

You must stay away from fresh fruit, nuts, popcorn, and corn in general. Google low residue diet recipes and guidelines, as i have been on that diet for years and it works for me.
