Dunno about that but here we have poitín, its a very old Irish drink made from potatoes rolleyes Made well it should be around 70-80% alcohol and still be drinkable, made wrong it will most likely blind or kill you. My dad made a couple of gallons 3 years ago which wasnt too bad, I wasnt living with him then though so not too sure of the method he used, hes made sloe gin too which was fucking lovely and a lot easier to make. If you want I can get the recipes off him, he was thinking of making more poitín this summer too (hopefully) for a bit of extra money. Lots of people sell poitín jelly at festivals for €3 a shot, fuck loads of money to be made there.
