I need to get away again and am thinking of Goa, I have always heard good things about it.

Does anyone know the best place to meet fellow backpackers in Goa? I think I want some company this time. :)

well, anjuna is more of the partying place and palolem is more for mainstream/gap year travellers. this is my experience. i think the best place in arambol in north goa. the people who go there tend to be more free thinking and travelling types. theres a very artistic scene and although there are lots of long stayers (as in the rest of goa) all the people who i met there are amazing. theres also a secret beach near by with a sweet water lake and you can go into the jungle. (visit the banyan tree) i lived in the jungle for a while.
    Have fun.

Rain season is coming now. Better wait a few months or go up north, it's not gonna be nice in Goa unless you like being washed out.
Palolem is nice to chill out, Anjuna is good to chill out and party. Make sure to go see Kundalini Airport play if you're in Anjuna.
