    Hi folks,

I'm glad to be able to share my ideas and opinions on many diverse subjects with all of you. As mentioned in the title, I have one less conspiracy to worry about and so do you.

How many of you have watched the very convincing, over dramatized and frightful movie called: "The fourth kind"?

I did and I was skeptical from the first 'actual footage' body lift on, shown to take place through hypnosis. The concept is great. People experience a weird phenomenon that occurs at 3:33 AM which is within the range of the so-called 'hour of death'. What is fascinating is that 'real footage', or at least claimed to be so, is used in conjunction with actual movie scenes starring Milla Jovovich [Fifth Element, Resident Evil and many others].

Dr. Abigail Tyler, played by Jovovich, is a psychologist who uses hypnosis to get her patients into a state of remembrance. They all describe experiencing the same phenomenon being a white owl standing in front of their window. The owl just stands there and watches them without showing one grain of fear.

Interestingly enough, the owl hides something else... something deeper... something alien. What happens to these people is known as abductions. Some evidence is tossed around such as a 'genuine' audio recording of Dr. Abigails' voice recorded during her sleep in which an alien voice can clearly be heard. Other 'genuine' evidence include video recording of the different sessions with her patients, a cop car camera view showing a UFO fly-by and of course the infamous recordings of sessions in which you see some of Dr. Abigail's patients levitate and speak in a total foreign language as well as Dr. Abigail herself.

The very clever part of the movie is that the 'foreign language' that could distinctively be heard was said to be Sumerian which is one of the oldest languages known to modern civilization. You even get a few random translations of what is being said which comes down to " I [the creature speaking Sumerian] am the supreme being, the GOD, the one you will obey."

Now, I must say that it is all very convincing and very well put together. Having a lead actress such as Milla can but uplift overall credibility. So I started to do some research.

First thing to look for, pretty obviously, is the existence of Dr. Abigail Tyler. She was said to be living in the East part of the USA and was also said to be in very poor health condition. Weirdly enough, nothing very major comes up when searching for Dr. Abigail Tyler online. You would think that if such a story were to be true, you would've at least find some form of contact with this person or some type of biography of some kind.

Next up, the director of the movie. Trying to get in touch with him was not easy and it didn't bare any results either. You might think to get in touch with Milla Jovovich but hey, if you have her e-mail address I'd be glad to send her an e-mail.

Continuing the process, I looked online to find an explanation or someone who would consider this movie as fake and offer a credible argument to do so. I stumbled upon a comment that roughly mentioned how Dr. Abigail Tyler's 'real footage' is actually played by an actress herself. That gets quite confusing, I know. Best thing to do is watch the movie if you haven't done so yet and then look up Charlotte Milchard, you'll see that the resemblance is quite intriguing if you take a few pounds of the Milchard individual.

So, I wrote Ms. Milchard a long e-mail asking her to comment on her possible involvement in this movie. Needless to say that I didn't receive any reply to my question.

My last resort was the University at which the recorded interview with Dr. Abigail Tyler took place. I naturally wrote to Chapman University: webmaster@chapman.edu

This is the answer I got back from them:

    Quote:
[The movie is fiction. The filmmakers were Chapman University alumni so
got permission to use our name. Dr. Abigail Tyler is a fictional
    character created for the movie.]

That pretty much debunks it to me. Some of you might wonder why I even remotely show interest in this movie or as to it being real or not. This is an extremely valid question to answer.

Not only does the cast claim that the footage used is real and genuine, not only do they depict Dr. Abigail Tyler as a real person, not only do they claim that Dr. Abigail's daughter went missing and was never found and most probably abducted by extraterrestrial beings but what really makes me mad is that they pretty much tell you: "Now that you've seen what we saw, you will make your own mind as to rather it is true or not."

A lot of gullible people will have fallen pray to believe that this film is real because of the credible lead actress telling you that the footage is genuine, a claim that is totally illegal to make when it is clear that the movie was faked from A-Z but it installs an illegitimate fear towards extraterrestrial beings.

I am not here to claim that they do or do not exist. I am only here to set the record straight on this hoax of a very well constructed movie and to make you ponder this thought... if extraterrestrial beings do exist and visit us one day in our near future, do you think that you will remain unbiased to rather they are beings with good or bad intentions when getting 'brainwashed' with false claim movies such as 'The Fourth Kind'?

Any constructive feedback is more than welcome :)

Thank you for your time in reading this thread.

Since time began there have been fakes and forgeries of every kind in order to further someone’s idea or agenda.

This movie does nothing to prove or disprove the existence of alien abductions, its only a healthy reminder to stay vigilant and beware of shams

    Hi Hotwater,

Thank you for taking the time to comment on this. I would like to comment on your comment as it is important to discuss this. I first would like to know if you consciously watched this movie and paid attention to its message. You mention in your comment:

A movie that claims to have, and shows, real and genuine footage of levitating people who are possessed by alien entities speaking Sumerian, a real UFO hovering a house and also claims that Dr. Abigail Tyler's daughter in real life 'most probably' got abducted by extraterrestrials when it turns out she doesn't even exist... is enough for me to say that YES, they tried to indoctrinate their viewers in believing that what they show was real and thus proves the existence of alien abductions.

To give you a better notion of what I'm referring to. When a movie is claimed to be "Based on a true story", what is your first thought on that? Do you automatically think it's fake or do you think that it's real because they legally bind themselves to the phrase "Based on a true story"? I think that it is unnecessary to tell you that you can't just associate the term "Based on a true story" with your mainstream movie when it's not based on a true story. It would loose all of its meaning if it did.

And that is exactly the point I'm trying to make with this. If movie directors and film crews start labeling their work as based on true and genuine footage when it isn't, then the very essence of "Based on a true story=facts" becomes obsolete, don't you think?

Yes, so it was an immoral and unethical way to promote their movie.

It still did nothing to prove or disprove the existence of alien or the phenomenon of alien abduction.

Just because a movie claims to be based on a true story doesnt mean it has to be factual.

When I saw the trailers for this movie, I was elated. I am a long time researcher of all things extra terrestrial, or, as I would like to say...extra dimensional, multi dimensional, and inter dimensional. I also believe in the so called "Annunaki" and believe they ARE the progenitors of MODERN mankind. So, naturally, I began to research my ass off once I saw the trailers. I learned rather quickly, without having to e-mail anyone involved in the movie...that this movie was bogus.

Just more viral marketing. Pretty good viral marketing, too, if I may say so myself.

Naturally when I saw the movie I was disappointed. I felt it just...was horribly loose ended, not tied together at all. I just..didnt feel it was believable. Which is really weird, considering the subject matter, hahaha.

it may be all well and good to consider the subject matter, but would it not be also reasonable to consider who has and who hasn't the resources to make what you see in a movie or on the tube?
