Drug assembly in school

So friday in school we had an assembly about drugs. The speaker was talking about the effects on the brain and how they're addicting. He said that 70% of weed tested has trace amounts of meth in it, which I'm not too sure I believe. He said that axe is addicting and every time you spray it you get high from the hexanes, don't really think that's true either. He was talking about ecstasy and tried saying the chemical name. He said MethyleneDioxyAmine, I wanted to yell out MethyleneDioxyMethamphetamine! but it probably would've been a bad idea. Ironically 3 kids were rolling face in the assembly, and a total of 15 kids took bombs in my school that night, including me =).

 

70% of weed has meth in it? are you fucking serious? god dammit they could at least stick to the believable rumours ZOMG SHROOMS MAKE UR STOMACH BLEED... jeez

I think if they wanna' get people off drugs they should bring in an addict. Not a "I used to be an addict but now I've turned my life around" addict. Like a true addict who's fallen to pieces. It won't keep you off drugs but it'll make you at least try and know your shit.

Anything's better than some fuckface who doesn't know what he's talking about and hasn't even smoked pot.

If you want to convince people to not do drugs it's simple. Just convince them they aren't strong enough to handle it. Most of them aren't, it's just a matter of when they find that out.

about the only truths ive heard so far.. hey girls lets huff some hairspray..

 

they make outragous statistics like that so that instead of saying "bullshit theres nothing in there" you say "bullshit there is lessthan that" in there so in a way they still get the rumor across

 

They seem to get more outrageous every year! My bud was telling me about the drug assembly he had last year and it was rediculous! They made it out to look like you hallucinate and puke from smoking a hit of weed... They also use 1 liners like "Marijuana has more THC than the 60s now" What the hell do those even mean, is that even a bad thing? I agree with everyone else, these people are just making themselves look worse by lying about drugs, therefore making kids try them to found out the truth for themselves...

 

Haha I bet the thing about axe is just trying to stop people from wearing it because IT SMELLS DISGUSTING! And they constantly tell you drugs are bad, so might as well tell you axe is bad for reasons they are already lecturing about.

Clearly all the anti drug stuff worked on all the hipforumers. haha

 

It's so hard to get pure marijuana these days... 70% is cut with meth and 15% of marijuana is cut with PCP, hence why so many kids run around naked while self-mutilating parts of their body every year...

 

I doubt "marijuana was weaker in the 60s-70s" is even true.. It seems like their had to be some growers who knew what they were doing back in the day, while using potent strains. I suppose it's possible that their was less thc..i just don't know.

 

Why is it that the schools think they can educate us by trying scare the living hell out of us. We're (Im speaking for those who understand) much more intelligent then they think we are and we have done our research. I would love to make a "true" drug presentation, showing all points of view, with no biased babble bullshit and really educate people.

i think it's true, i know im only 16 and have no first hand experiance but i think that it is logical. Different techniques are being used, people have cultivated better strains through the years. People in the 60's-70's may have known what they were doing but i think that we have better weed-growing technology.
