No, this isn't a barefoot activist initiative (but hey, it'd make a catchy title for one, doesn't it? ), but just my personal barefoot program that started shortly after 5 pm yesterday - after leaving the office - and will go on until the morning of April 26, just before entering the office again. Or, in short terms: vacation. Even though it's just one week, I'm going to make sure that every moment counts as a barefoot moment and apart from toe rings and anklets, I won't wear anything else on my feet, no matter where I go. One definite plan for tomorrow, my traditional barefoot Sunday, is to go to my favourite lake (not for full skinnydipping, since the water might be too cold for that, still - but at least a footbath and perhaps a Kneippian dip of the calves and shins into the lake water is on my agenda). Weather forecasts tell me about the 20°C threshold being broken tomorrow (and with sunny weather, temps are going to be quite a bit higher in the sun.). So, it's not only barefoot freedom, but also nude freedom, too. I also have the plan set for visiting a brefoot-friendly event on the ending weekend of my one-week vacation, that being a medieval market/festival near the place where I live. One can always meet other barefooters there, dressed in medieval garb, among the performers and artisans as well as among the "normal" visitors. Whatever I'll do in the days between, it will be done barefoot, and (weather permitting) in some places nude, too. Wiggling overjoyed bare toes and wishing everyone with a barefoot week ahead a great barefoot time, ~*Ganesha*~
I'm onboard for a barefoot week! (and more) I officially spent my first day completely barefoot yesterday, and I got 2 really positive comments from a woman, and one funny comment from a man. Highly encouraging start to barefoot year 2010! Good on ya mate!
Well, my personal Barefoot Freedom Week has started and I have put up some information on it in my journal. If you wish to read about it, you're heartily invited. Wiggling happy and free toes, ~*Ganesha*~
