If you're Canadian I would simply recomend you click on the above

essentially this is the government funded school of life

I've done both programs, it's essentially been my education and lifes inspiration, so if you have ANY questions just ask em right here

I've always wanted to do something like that, but I'ts mainly aimed at students out of high school is it not? Im 18 and in my last year, but I was hoping they did some sort of a semester thing. Anyways, I'll most likley have to stick it out for another year or so, but yeah! Tell me how it was! Im curious to know..

The fundraising is dirt simple, no worries. Write lots of letters to local bussiness, service groups, the mayor, your MP, etc etc, get an article in the paper about your upcomming participation in CWY and ask for support, throw an event where you can charge admission and have silent auctions, etc, etc, etc, SOOOOOO easy. I threw a benifit concert for my fundraising and pulled off $1500 in one night! The rest of my funds came from personal, and bussiness donations. Those are just a few idas, but not to worry, after you've been accepted they send you a great big package with info to help you out with all that stuff.

It's not aimed at anyone in particular, just youth aged 17-21. My group had a few highschool drop-outs, a few grads, some who had already been in the work force a couple years and others were taking a break from post secondary studies. If you're in your last year of highschool then now is the best time to apply for next years (2005-2006) programs, they start in September and January and last 9 months.

Ya Katimavik was likely a greater learning and growing experience for me then CWY, it was just so intense and unbelievable that if you want to know more you're going to have to ask specific questions as it's really hard to convey the experience as a whole.

    PEACE
