Flooding. Flooding. FLOODING in the middle of the night. And a landlord who won't stop sleeping and come fix it. And a kitty who keeps trying to drink the leaky water-heater water. And soggy socks. And no more paper towels. And and and... and I hate this apartment.
Sorry about the flooding, hope there isn't too much damage! I live in Texas and it's been raining what seems like nonstop the last week or so, so I can kinda relate. Love the title though! I love the old school Batman! Liz
yeah im here in texas too in austin and its been pretty insane with all the flooding! hope your apartment dosent get too much damage!
We've been living here since the beginning of September... I have to admit, we thought it was a shady place lol but when you're a student, you don't have a lot of choice! Anyway we figured it out, the water-heater has a big leak in it That would explain why we've had no hot water the last couple of days... we just figured we were timing it badly with the people who live upstairs, you know? *sigh* Someone is coming to look at it tomorrow between 8 and 12... meanwhile there's a small fort of papertowels on the floor now lol the kitty is frightened!
Aw Well, at least someone's coming. I remember this summer our air conditioner was leaking and the guy came, stayed 3 hours, replace a part and left....it was worse when he left! After that my sink sarted leaking. was terrifyed to call him so I did it myself! LOL We haven't gotten much flooding here seeing a how our streets are shaped like this -----______----- LOL All the rain runs off into the middle of the street causing miniature lakes and rivers on the streets. They're all morons....they put our washer/dryer connections in BACKWARDS for pete's sake! Good luck with your repair guy! And for those who are in Texas, be safe! Liz
Thanks everyone! As an update, the repair guy was just here, and apparently our waterheater is "shot" and they're bringing us a new one between 9 and 1. Whoohoo! Until then, we have no water. Not even cold water. *sigh* So very, very tired right now. At least the river is shrinking a little bit. The water is so nasty though, filled with rust and god only knows what else.
YAY! I'm so glad you're getting it replaced! *Happy Dance* LOL Our water here is foul too. All of the oil drilling and stuff. You can pour a glass of water from the faucet and it's cloudy, come back 10 minutes later and it's crystal clear! EEEEW! So needless to say RO water is VERY big here. But in Amarillo where I grew up, the water id delicious! MMMMM! I'm glad someone got there soon before there was too much damage! Liz
