it's not funny...it's absolutely hilarious! our one cat did this all the time when their food bowl was on a counter.
When my dog was a puppy my dad had three cats, (sadly only one left now) but when they were running he used to join in, then they would all jump onto something, he tried and tried to jump to and couldn't understand why he couldn't do it lol. I'm sure he thought he was a cat too...
the funniest thing I've seen my cat do related to this is when he was a kitten he would walk on the computer desk which is right next to the kitchen table. Well one day he was walking on the computer desk and looking to get to the kitchen table, there was a set of colored markers with about a 1/4 of the package hanging off the table. He tried to step on the markers package to get to the table and the package flung up and hit him square in the face. Hahaha we even have it on video.
