Ok so I posted a thread about this dream before but I just thought of a completely new topic based on that dream.

My current girlfriend is a red head with long hair, slightly under-weight, a couple inches shorter than me, and well somewhat flat, if you know what I mean.
I've always been more attracted to brunettes with long, straight hair, cup size ranging from high Bs to mid Cs, a little more than two inches shorter than me and definitely not under-weight, but not over-weight either. Strangely enough, I am not really into big butts. I know a lot of guys are but I just think it looks off.
The girl in the dreams I've been having fits my ideal girl down to the drinks I like. Everything about this dream girl is perfect. Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying I don't love my girlfriend because I don't find her attractive. She has just changed so much over the years.

Anyway back to the point, do the people in our dreams effect our interests in real life?

Just a side note; I've found a good image of the face to help describe the dream girl. The drummer in the band Skillet, especially in the "Hero" music video, but with brown hair is an almost perfect match to the dream girl face-wise.

I beleive the people in our dreams what they do and who they are, are a subconscious telling of what our true interests in life really are. In dreams it's hard to be dishonest, you're in a space where no one can touch you. Dreaming about being on a date with a woman suggests that you are getting to know some hidden aspects of yourself. You seem to concentrate alot on the qualities of these women. If the main feature of your dream was the beauty of the eyes, the meaning is that you can count on the sincere love of those who matter to you. Brunette hair usually symbolizes loyalty, but I think maybe your subconscious mind is drawing attention to the qualities you admire and how you're being dishonest with yourself.

I was always told that every person you see in your dream is just a representation of yourself.

So you could either be looking toward her and imagining a perfect person, or in this case improving yourself. If you have self esteem issues they might be getting addressed her, just as any other imperfection in your life you feel needs improving. It's just a metaphor for perhaps improving the quality of your life.

The flip side is either sexual desire and harmless fun- or yeah, being dissatisfied with your girlfriend. However, I really find those analogies really simplistic.

Dreams are anything but simple, you know?

i don't know what is meant by "mattering"
but appearances of PEOPLE in dreams seldom have very much to with who they resemble, if anyone, in real life.

appearances of PLACES is what i really find gratifying when i find myself doing so in dreams, just as in real life.
