Went and saw Maiden last night was fuckin awsome they put on a wicked show, one thing I didnt like so much was that the pit wasnt very lively i was in the middle not to far from the stage and they were a few people just standing there doin nothin didnt even get there heads movin or anything if you wanna just stand there dont by a fuckin pit ticket! but all in all I enjoyed myself the people who were dumb enough to be standing still were coping belts from my dreads swinging round unk:
Saw maiden 5 times and was never dissappointed..pits dont usually happen in metal shows much that is reserved for punk/hardcore shows.
I don't agree, depends on the band! And it can also depend a bit on the genre. Iron Maiden is great live and sometimes may have a pit in front as well. So it can also depend on the show.
hey man..how ya be?..anyway agreed it depends on the band, maiden fans dont mosh as much..but when i saw anthrax, that was different
???? When I saw Metallica in 04 the pit was HUGE Same with the Masters of Metal concert with Priest, Motorhead, Heaven and Hell, and Testament. Testament's fans sure know how to mosh.
Maiden was easily the best live show I've seen. They just seem to be getting better with time. I can't wait for the new album tour whenever they finish it.
his talking about jumping up and down like when Jarnick does or singing along.....no offense but this seems to plague american fans....their quite boring.
This would be venue related in the USA due to liability there isnt much beating the shit out each other.. When one my gf was pregnant she wanted to see Pearl jam but was afraid of getting hurt, but you could of put a infant on the floor and it wouldnt get hurt. It was like seeing journey or styx.
I just watched a video documentary called Iron Maiden: Flight 666. A chronological account of the heavy metal band Iron Maiden's 2008 world tour through India, Australia, Japan, USA, Canada, Mexico and South America in a jet piloted by the band's front man, Bruce Dickinson. Features interviews with the musicians, their road crew and fans. This is a totally oustanding documentary. I found it online, and if you havent seen it yet, here is where you can watch it-- http://xtshare.com/toshare.php?Id=15762
