so i'm taking an anti depressant right now called Citalopram, its an SSRI and i've been on it for a while now. I know this shit isn't good for me so I'm slowly lowering my doses so that i can eventually get off the stuff.

In the mean time however, my friends and i were going to do shrooms this weekend. I know my meds fucked up my LSD experience the last time (meaning everyone was frying balls and i was NOT), how will it effect the shroomies? Should i not trip?

You probably won't trip, and if you do, it won't be very intense. SSRI's do that with all psyches I think.

I actually just stopped my Citalopram cold turkey a week ago. The w/d sucks but tripping is definitely better without it.

You'll probably still trip, just nowhere as hard as you want to. I ate an 8th a month or 2 ago and it was mild as shit. Last week, on the last day I took my meds, I took about 35mg 2c-e and 30mg 2c-i and it was weak. Took 36mg 2c-e a few days later (SSRI free) and tripped my tits off.. my hardest trip in at least 6 years. I'm a hard head when it comes to psychs to begin with but SSRIs don't help at all. I say give it at least a few days after your last dose before you trip or it will be a waste.. even though, depending on how long you've been on it, it'll probably take at least a month to get completely out of your system. I was on it for 2.5 years but a few days without it made a BIG difference...

You know the answer to this question

it's never a good idea to mix drugs. Whether you do is your call, but I wouldn't. If you're serious about your anti-depressant usage then you wouldn't anyways.

    Hope it all works out.
