Confess what made you join Hip forums!

I'll go first, of course, I just started a homosexual relationship when I was I believe 16 in high school. I knew I couldn't talk to anyone in my family (it being religious on both sides) and none of my friends (being a member of the football clique). So I was looking for an outlet and it said Hip forum free speech forum. I thought none of the people I knew (other than my mother who was not really a big part of my life) could be described as hippy or of the hippy mind. This lead to my name sin in a bin; I spit his cum into a trashcan(bin). So that plus the rhyme made the name feel appropriate.

I think I first joined because I was looking for a list of decent porn sites and ran across the L&S forum. That was back in '04 on my old account. I don't go in there anymore

 

I wasn't using the internet to communicate with the world properly, that is one of the purposes of the internet right?
I came here to communicate with like-minded people around the world.

 

Back in 2004 I think, I was doing some type of report on hippies, typed in hippy.com and the rest is history...lol

I joined to talk about Psycheldelics, but then I came across the "you may be a hippie if" thread with BBAD and Olderwaterbrother dueling it out and started laughing my ass off.

Heh, weird story.

A friend confessed their lust for me, and I was flattered, but this friend was a dude. I googled something about trying to let this guy down gently, and came across a thread here.

Loved the general size of the place, and obviously the diversity. Looking back though, it's a pretty cringeful way to discover a decent site such as this one. However, I am nott a hippie whatsoever, so I wouldn't have found it much other way!

I was off of work on a medical/sick leave. I was online researching some prescription meds I had never taken before. I was looking for what the side effects of oxycotin use were and a Hip Forums drug thread came up.
I looked around the site, dug it, and joined. Before that I was not a fan of "social networking" sites. I am still NOT on Facebook or Myspace, much to the dismay of my pals.
One thing I really liked about Hip when I first joined was the chat. I miss the old "chat regulars", but there is always a new friend to be made in Hip Chat. I wish more forum users would stop in chat.
