Getting broadband in the Uk

    Ok, so ive been trying to find a broadband company recently, but none of them seem to do what i want.

    i need

    dsl connection
    unlimited/very high bandwitdth
    always on/pay monthly deal
    no setup fee

    and i dont really want to pay any more than £25 per month


    Can anyone help me out with this?

    Plus Net offer most of what you want. £21.99/month for 512k ADSL. Always on. No bandwidth restrictions. It's the 'no set up fee' that you're gonna be screwed on with most ISPs though. Not sure what Plus Net's is, but think it's around £50 without hardware. They let you spread it over a year if you want though. Oh yeah, and you get a free domain, 250meg of web space, unlimited pop mailboxes..... actually, a pretty fucking cool ISP :)

    hmm., no DSL ISP's around here give you anything except the internet connection

    ive got Verizon Online's second best DSL connection 1.7 meg its 35 bucks a month, and im always connected 24/7

    but then im not in the UK, so shouldnt even reply lol

    Try aol theyr not the best isp around but they'l give you exactly wot you want and their price plan isnt bad.

    So far I have had experience with BT, Blue Yonder ( Telewest ) and Tiscali. BT were OK and reliable but by far the best was Blue Yonder. No problems with high usage or downloads. Very fast and reliable. Whatever you do - avoid Tiscali. At times it seems slower than a 56k modem and they tie you into a 12 month contract. Check out forums and ISP comments around the net and Tiscali come up as one of the worst around.
