And I don't mean like Half Baked or anything silly. I need that real shit. Like Drugstore Cowboys. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Not fucking How High. Nothing with rappers. Basketball Diaries was alright... a little whiney but good. But you know what I mean? Movies about drugs and human darkness/weakness/cruelty And don't be afraid to get weird on me.
human traffic (rave movie)it is funny but makes very poignant commentary groove(rave movie) spun blow harvard man (not a good movie but has a crazy 1/2 hr LSD trip) trainspotting easy rider The doors
Anything by David Lynch Catch 22 Slaughterhouse 5 What QB said ^ Blade Runner. many others.-----------oops.Sorry.These aren't drug movies.Just good ones.
well no-ones said trainspotting yet... but thats not exactly the most "underground" of movies so i guess it goes without saying. if you can watch macauley caulkin (or however you spell it) for more than 5 minutes without wanting to scratch out your eyes then party monster is fairly decent. if your fine with depressing heroin movies then al pacinos performance in panic in needle park is banging. sid and nancy theres an awesome acid scene in shane meadow's: dead mans shoes. which is a sick film anyway. in order to shoot the scene he kept the actors awake for four days because sleep deprivation got them in the right mindset (this is what he tells the press, but some believe he actually slipped them acid before the filming) that film is AMAZING anyway. i agree with whoever said this earlier but rocknrolla got panned- its actually fairly decent the bit where they do the "junkies boneyard speech" then play the lou reed while he dances around in an H trance is awesome. and layer cake is the bang, seriously mathew vaughan kicked it on that one and gambon rocks as always. blow is fairly awesome if you ain't seen that. if you liked fear and loathing i guess youve probably already seen where the buffalo roam, but still if you havent its good. Bill murrays impression of Hunter S. Thompson is spot on depp's is pretty good, but bill fuckin nails it. to prepare for the role he spent some weeks living with the good doctor in order to get inside the mindset of the character. Thompson tied him to a chair and threw him into a swimming pool. they remained great friends after that bonding experience lol.
I said trainspotting, oh Yah speaking of brief drug scenes SLC Punk Has a brief acid trip if I remember.
I know a couple of people have said Trainspotting, but with good reason. Watch that one. Also, Gia, the true story about the supermodel Gia Carangi. Angelina Jolie stars in it as does a pretty good job to be fair.
Big style. Talking creme of the crop. Unless you aren't attracted to the idea of a younger AJ doing it sappho style
oh yeh, soz brutha. the acid house is pretty awesome, one of the film four releases, which are always fairly brilliant its all in pretty heavy glaswegian which gets a bit grating for some, but if you followed spud in the speed interview scene in trainspotting (same actor is in the acid house) you'll probably find it allright lol
