The psychedelic revolution has left the streets and entered our minds. Where is the spirit of the youth today? Does anyone even care anymore?

If we truly cared about such things as peace and understanding, we would realise the constant need to embrace those values. It doesn't just work like that because our country is at war. It works like that because we want to prevent war and tyranny in the first place. It is easy to govern a country that is at war, but to govern a country that is peaceful takes much more wisdom.

It feels like the U.S. is on a one way street to destruction.

More people want prozac than they do LSD.. Its just a fact.. They dont want life changing experiences cause when the LSD wears off.. The World is still as it was. And you are still as you was!! nothing has changed and nothing will.. Alquada flew planes into 2 towers. New York hasnt changed at all. IF you visit there youll see, the only thing thats different is a hole in the ground.. Al Roker is still telling the temperature and hoda kotb is still an ugly dog women.. No matter how much LSD you do. Al will still be telling us the temperature and Hoda is still a dog women.

It all has to do with you first and the way that you perceive the world/universe. You have to be the one. There's nobody else that can do it other than you.

it's because people don't believe in the ability of change that nothing changes.

you can run around and become one with the universe all you want. but it isn't going to make any kind of effect unless you actually project that onto the world around you. and even then, one person can only do so much. a single person cannot carry the entire weight of the world on their shoulders. you really do need enough people to care.

Yea but you gotta realize that things are already perfect as they already are. There isn't actually anything to change in fact. Humans for thousands of years have tried to put it in from the outside, like a new way of living that will finally solve the world's problems. But it's actually the divided state of consciousness that cause so many problems in the world.

So all i'm saying is that you've got to tend your own garden first and then it automatically begins to expand to the rest of the world because you realize you ARE the world in fact.

Desos, i totally dig on everything you're saying, but i suppose the most important thing in my opinion is to not get trapped chasing the illusion of a revolution that will finally change the world. The revolution is important but i think it needs to happen on the inside first.

 

im all about creating the parallel reality. unplug the evening news and hollywood and live as free as you know how.
i cant really be bothered by the state of the world these days. it dosent do me anygood to project myself and thoughts and emotions beyond the bubble im capable of influencing.

ya, its fucked up that so many want prozac more than lsd... that so many want convienent processed food from the supermarket instead of whole foods from the earth. its unfortunate that violence is such a widespread and dominant force. its unfortunate that ignorance and dogma shape the collective mind.
....but at this point all i know how to do is let it go, and let it be however the fuck its going to be, without getting myself wrapped up in it. because this is how people choose to live. our solutions are not simple, they would require us as a species to undergo heavy purging, because we are sick. the collective dream that is held needs to undergo the death and rebirth trip.

I'm liking the "well, sorry guys but..." nature of orison's posts. Recently I'm going the same directions in my thoughts.

I've always tried to figure out just what exactly goes on in my brain during even pot highs, and the late conclusion is that, though pot reminds my body of all the "prophecies" and such I've read (like "nothing truly matters, your mind makes it so, your place in the universe, if stripped of arbitrary emotions, values and rules, is free and limitless etc.)," and though it may make all that stuff resonate in my body and seem true at the time, once the high comes off, as much as I "know it" to be true, you come back to feeling like normal. To frustration, to want, to etc.

I used to think I could access those feelings or change the way I think after the high too, but recently I'm starting to agree that reason so many people spend their time getting high (or drunk), and continue to, is simply because at your normal state you can't reach those emotions. Your body and mind don't spin in those directions, and I don't want to say impossible but they do seem like day and night to me. Something tells me I may have this same attitude towards my next LSD trip. An amazing 8-10 hour trip into a different world, but I'm sure once all the "awesome stuff I'm gonna do once I get off" high wears off, I'll return 99% back to normal.

Just some thoughts to add. (fuckin' ell, something tells me I need to work on being concise).
