If it passes, I will be suprised. However, I hope it does. What will be interesting is all of the pro and con ads that they will show on TV. All eyes will be on California during the November election. That is all they will talk about.

I also expect to see the highest, no pun intended, amount of voter turnout that the state has ever seen. Everyone will vote and the state will also have the a very large liberal turnout so I don't see any republicans winning that election. Pretty much a shoe it for anyone on that ballot.

If it doesn't pass... California is dead... it doesn't seem like the Fed is going to bail out California.. if they cannot get a booming industry to help chip away at their multi-billion dollar debt.. then they are fucked

California is gonna go through a lot of change in the 2010 elections.. 60some seats up for election... marijuana bills... if California falls.. how long before the rest of the country falls to its knees... If California is where "it all begins".. will California also be where it begins to end?

^another reason the economy in cali will boom. didn't really realize that before.
I'm gonna get on them people with facts when the time comes.
I've already known for a while that it was gonna be in the ballot.
I think it will pass cuz SoCal is the place for drugs and party, NorCal is hippie-haven, and fantan SanFran is a guaranteed liberal vote

if this passes, the government AND the "ignorant" people are finally going to see with their own eyes, that california will (probably) fix their economy of the state.

even though i live in Canada, I can see whats happening to not only the US, but a lot of other countries.. including Canada. Everywhere, the economy is not at it's best.. and i can think of a lot of things that can fix it.

Marijuana sales by the government (like alcohol) will improve the conomy. Even legalizing Cocaine (I would never support cocaine legalisation..its addictive like nicotine) would boost the economy majorly by taxing it by at least 15%. But then, most people would grow their own plants in their garden as if its a rosebush

It's all about the money. Hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenue will be hard for a state in financial crisis to pass up.

i just hope they don't find some other way to help improve their economy besides cannabis. if they do, the importance of legalizing/taxing marijuana will diminish greatly. But i've never been to Cali, and never will, so I'm not too sure how it goes over there.
I can't remember who said it, and in what thread they said it, but just like when CA recognized medical marijuana, 13 states followed suit. IF cali legalizes it, then i can see other states following suit in the same way.
Imma just wait for this red state (TX) to get on board with everyone else...it's only a matter of time...
