the only thing that really worries me about being caught with illegal substances are the difficulties applying for visas for travel abroad. In a few years I'm hoping to take a trip around the americas, mainly South, not too bothered about the US... I have no 'convictions' as of yet (although I did get a caution for class a intent to supply a few years back when I was caught with a fat bag of shrooms) so the police have my dna and fingerprints. Does anyone know more about this, though? Will i flat-out not be able to travel if I get a conviction? minor or serious (such as supply of Class A, not that I'd ever do such a thing)?
