Well, I've been wearing the patch for about 54 hours now, and it started to kick in about 4 hours after I put it on (since that's when my withdrawls subsided). I stuck it under my armpit since I heard the absorption rate is better there. It's not as strong as I thought it would be (I only put on 1/2 of a 50ug/h patch since I heard about how dangerous it was) but I've been feeling a good buzz for the last few days, but nothing major or even noticeable at times I often forget I'm wearing it. My favourite thing though is not having to pay for and chase down drugs for 3-4 days while going through withdrawal. Actually, just having these 48+ hours withdrawal-free has been bliss, even without the buzz. Feels like I'm sober and normal again. Like before I touched opiates. I love it and I'm definitly going to get a bunch of these since theyre dirt-cheap right now, but be careful if you decide to since they're pretty powerful things and can easily kill someone if used by someone with no tolerance.
I had a five of the 50 mcg patches and I cut them in half too as they were the mylan. I thought they were nice and definitely kept withdrawals at bay. I usually take about 8-10 norcos a day, but I only took two or three a day and that was just for shits and giggles. Definitely a cool drug. I did notice redness around the site and also covered them with a tegaderm patch. I few times I had to take it off as it was too much. I'm overly cautious anyway. Nothing more embarassing than waking up in the ER and being pumped for of narcan not that this has every happened to me no wink either. Someone posted a while back that it was kinda cool to wake up hammered and that's the truth. I wouldn't mind being on these for my chronic pain with a few bt meds as needed.
ya fent def comes in handy for wd's.. twizz, u put it in ur armpit? makes sense absorbtion would be good there, but u dont have any problems with it sticking? i ask cuz armpit skin stretches alot when you move your arms, plus i sweat to much during the summer, probably wouldnt stick well at all in my armpit,

slap it on dont try and abuse it, unless u know 110% what your doing but i doubt that cuz u said first time fentanyl isnt anything to fuck with, its incredibly potent. be safe
I agree 100% - fent is extremely strong shit - be very, very careful! Been on 100mcg/hr of the mylan fent patches (doctor prescribed) for many months now. Switched from 30mg oxycodone suppositories every 4-6hrs(can't get them in the USA but here it's easy from a doctor if in genuine pain) because the damned supps fucked up my back door. Anyway, the doc made a mistake with the conversion and should have been on 50mcg/hr - didn't complain and said nothing - so the 100mcg/hr keeps coming!! A person I know (in a lot of pain) never throws the used ones out. They have a lot of stuff in them (packet says 60% of intended dose left after 72hrs) and has been cutting them into small pieces and placing under the tongue/chewing. Puked at first, but now says is used to it, but still gets a buzz and pain control is better when flared up. Says they definitely get absorbed faster under the tongue, contrary to popular belief (not talking about the old gel ones here - they're gone 4good). Knew someone that wanted to try some, and insisted was very tolerant , just one peice got this person nodding within an hour, so was made to spit it out. Was vominting for an hour after that and still nodding for 2 hours or so - goes to show u that even if someone says they're "tolerant", they gotta be watched closely. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS SHIT!! Definitely prefer the oxy better though and have the option to switch back whenever - even 2try something else. Never tried oxycontin (was on mscontin a long time ago but got rash everywhere), so wondering if it's any good. I have a really fucked up spine, so I'm after pain relief, but the buzz (not the vomiting) is welcome in this pain ridden world here anytime. Besides, fent makes people lose weight QUICK as it supresses appetite big time. Not sure if oxycontin does that. Anybody?
I have been trying for years to get put on those for my chronic pain and lupus. But they wont give them to me, bc of risk of addiction. I think it is ironic, while some try for health problems to get them, and others just buy it off the street, maybe I am doing it wrong. lol
That sux big time! It's a stigma that is supposed to be getting dealt with. Genuine pain sufferers get left in agony and have to fight for their rights to live a quality of life. Addiction (really should be called dependance) is a known effect, but should make no difference when assisting in one's quality of life. Don't know what to recommend to you except keep asking. Even the leaflet says "dependence is rare when using this medicine as prescribed". Have read in many books on pain control that people in genuine pain rarely become "addicts". Even still, weaning off is always the way to stop if necessary. You have my sympathy...
I am so sorry about your lupus. I am a pharmacist, so I know how difficult it can be to deal with an autoimmune disorder like lupus. I hope you are not in too much pain.
thanks you too. That is very kind, today was not a good pain day, and being on zero pain meds, does not help. Even the weed smoking didnt help. Which is horrible bc it is that bad. But I have tried so many doctors and no one wll prescribe me anything that works bc it is all possibly addicting. It is awful. I keep trying though.
what i do with patches is, i cut strips off, and suck on them. kicks in pretty quick, gotta love that stuff..... just like a quarter of an inch of a strip works.
Dudes. i was hooked on patches for 6 months. The best way to do it is fold it in half Sticky side out (that's where all the fentayl Slowly builds up.) (you can only get 100% of the Fentanyl out of the patch if you wear it for like a week. So even if its been warn for 72+ Hrs. it still has a couple highs in it. So fold in half, Put it inbetween your gums and bottom lip, like a chew. just doesn't taste at all. LEAVE IT IN FOR 10 MIN TOPS. wait 5-10 min. you should be feeling it coming on. if not put it in for another 10 min. GOOOOOD SHIIIT NO BS. I havent had access to them for a long time. And i hated leaving them. (But it is the most addictive opiate out there period. Caution!!) Note that i was using 75 Micro-gram/Hr. patches.
im on the patches for pain among 4 other pain meds, i am on 300mcg an hour and i barely get relief,methadone worked alot better for a longterm med for me.and they still have the gel ones so i dont know what you guys are talking about.i just got my 9 boxes yesterday.not all brands carry gel sandoz stopped making them in gel form i switched because the gel ones absorb better. you guys make it like these pain meds are so great and wonderful but when your in critical pain like myself i would trade all my meds for my health back.
