I saw many dirty/erotical photos and movies. I have a question. Why are the women in those photos and movie not afraid to be spotted by other people in real life?
I've often wondered that as well. But I suppose for many people, friends and family love you no matter what, and this is their professional life, so it isn't like they have to worry their boss will find out or something.
Actually, I think many young ppl in porn do it for the money without thinking about future ramifications - such as a str8 job where they will get canned because of youthful indescretion on video. I think it was in the news about some guy recently that his youthful porn was discovered. It has always been a question tho, even with the early Playboy girls. We wondered how they would deal with their teen kids seeing pix of MOM! in a Playboy spread. However, maybe it is just a sex-positive attitude with certain ppl who don't care what anyone thinks, family, friends or otherwise.
I think that a high percentage of the porn people live in the San Fernando Valley in California. That's the impression I got from watching HBO's "Pornucopia". So, I guess it's a rather accepting neighborhood. But sometimes I do wonder about the huge number of women who have done it in front of the camera. How many, do you think? Anyway, there doesn't seem to be much shame attached to it anymore. I think that's OK, except where my 16-year-old daughter is concerned.
It's funny because I kind of dig on old school (i.e. 60's and 70's) porn and I've looked up biographys on the net and it's funny that alot of them go on to work behind the scenes or in the case of Aunt Peg and Annie Sprinkle become relationship therapists. We seem to have this weird hangup in our society that women can be smart or sexy but not both. Think about it the next time you see Tracy Lords, Ginger Lynn, or Jenna Jameson in a "Legit" movie (yes they do them). I saw Zombie Strippers and they had Jenna Jameson reading and quoting Neitzche for comedic purposes (I once had a friend that used to like to say "Pseudo Intellectuals love Neitzche because he's an easy read and you sound smart when you quote him). Then you have Tristan Taormino who graduated from Wesleyan and is trying to make the point of being smart and enjoying sex in all of it's permutations. Peace out, Rev J
Consider the last porn you watched. Would you be able to recognize any of the women if they were wearing clothes? Considering what body parts people look at, I don't think that a porn star (with a different hairdo) has much chance of being recognized on the street.
There is a reason they have porn names. Many hardcore porn stars start out after being estranged from their families. I've read many a biography of this or that preacher's daughter running away to LA and finding a nice rich producer to take them in.
I saw a coffeetable book/ducumentary called XXX it has 30 porn actors and actresses without make up in street clothes and next to that them naked and dolled up for work. It is interesting to see the before and after and how much different they look. Peace Out, Rev J
