trying to et the CHRISTIANITY FORUM at least not on flame wars and more back on christianity, though the question from sanfour wasn't off topic, but has anyone else noticed that this year, mostly at high schools, more people have been really open with their faith...I am not christian, but i am guilty too....but anyone else notice this...
Well, maybe i will, maybe im just biding my time, and most of the people who are very open are christian, and maybe thats cause most people in the west are, so i figured it may be a good place to start, and i figured you may not be able to turn this into a flame war against those who are muslim....but hindsight is 20/20, i should have did it else where to...
The hell are you talking about dude? I never saw anyone get detention for having a bible, many of the staff even were openly christian and they had prayer circles and crap... At a public school. Damned annoying it was too their stupid prayer circles always had to be right in front of the doors in the damn way.
I know a guy that got suspended for a book about drugs, which he got at the school library. What's your point? Schools are fucked up...
i may be from Canada, but you can so have a bible at school, if it were france no, but i tihnk in the states you should ...as long as you respect others and do not try and unwilingly on their part save them... My school even has bible study wednesdays at lunch...and we are public...
My public school had bibles in the library students could check out if they wanted. They also had history of religion classes students could take if they wanted. There is no school where they give you detention for having the bible. Although at the baptist school I went to I got detention for having a Stephen King book...
I never got detention for reading the Bible during free time when I was in highschool. I never got in trouble for having a silent prayer beore lunch or a test. I believe that Christians should not impose our religeon on others. I believe in showing small unintrusive differences in my life so people will ask why. If they ask then I will tell them. If they don't ask I won't impose.
