This thread is about scones, so please share you experiences with scones here. What is your favourite kind of scone? How do you like to eat your scones? Do you have any special scone recipes that were passed down through successive generations in your family?

I used to make good scones with jam and cream.

But, I can't stand people who pronounce it scon  It's scone, like cone.

Yes, you are correct. Posh folk do say scon. It ought to be pronounced skoan, as in a 'cone'.

I used to work in a bakery where the scones were round from being scooped with an ice cream scoop. I would eat them as is with tea usually, it just seemed right. I liked cranberry more than raisin.
