Now you are just out and out lying.... in response to me asking that last time this was the TOTAL of your response; there is not even a reference to it... My point was that those are the people that welfare stops from stealing and sending to jail. But this is all pointless, because you are trying to argue both sides here and just wasting everyones time. In one post you rant against welfare and people having hard times, in the next you say they shouldn't bitch about the health care if they haven't paid their doctors bills... once again ignoring that people do get on hard times (some of which last more then a year)... As for your supposed position that its just welfare fraud you don't like, we covered that in the first back and forth and we BOTH AGREED on it... and yet you keep bringing it up like you think we disagreed. We all know you like to argue for the sake of arguing, but please, try to keep to one side in one thread...
i knew a guy, last year. good job, nice apartment, nice car, beautiful girlfriend...and he lost everything when he decided to rob people at gunpoint in a beautiful town where everything was going good for him. wtf is that? why?
they're not paying doctor bills because their kids are getting free healthcare. you assume all kinds of stuff that isn't even there. you're a total waste of time.
Here's something else we agree on, that this convo is a waste of time, not because of the subject or me, but because you are arguing in one response that welfare is wrong, then it is right, that all people on welfare are ripping the system off and then that sometimes they aren't. My argument has stayed the same from the beginning... Ignoring the criminals and those that abuse the system, there is nothing wrong with welfare. Yet everytime I say that, you respond back with, well criminals will do this regardless and those people think the world owes them soemthing... Before this thread started I actually had a much much higher opinion of you.
you've extrapolated things to suit yourself. no wonder your discussions end acriminously. i don't have much good opinion left for you either.
He was probably under a great deal of stress to maintain the illusion of an 'idyllic lifestyle' and the pressure finally got to him By turning to crime he was hoping to get caught and by doing so relieve the constant worry and anxiety he was under Hotwater
could be. i was really sad, he was great with kids, loved them. and he cut my hair better than anyone. he was funny, etc. but then i found out he was beating up my friend and doing this stupid shit. i just couldn't believe it. i'm not often fooled. fucking dumbass, man.
He was the victim of a society which created a world which is unattainable and unsustainable. A world nurtured through years of mindless brainwashing and manipulation through various television, newspaper, and media outlets; until a picture formed in his mind of a tranquil world filled with obedient children, a 9 to 5 job, and a dutiful wife waiting at home each night with dinner on the table Hotwater
he coulda had it good and simple. he also ended up doing time for identity theft. i mean, c'mon. and there was one time he was hiding his flat screen out at my other friend's house...that was all kinds of shady and happened after i found out what a dumbass he was.
No clue for other people in other situations. Depends on what you call work. Does it make sense to quit a job that makes no joy in your life as well as adding gas and vehicle maintenance combined with a paycheck that does not keep up with rising expenses? Or you could create your own way of living so you did not have to commute to and from work. Personally I think people who work for others are selling themselves short. But as long as they are happy. As far as going on welfare. I feel sorry for those people. However they choose the trap.
you bring up an entirely different subject. I like your point but not really what I'm talking about. self employment or self sustainability is very honorable. I've no issues there. My question is simply, at what dollar figure does it make sense to rely on the government and not on yourself? We have many many gov. assistance programs and an American can have a damn cozy lifestyle without ever having had to lift a finger. We even have a girl that works for us that refuses raises because it will eliminate her benefits from the government.
Personally I think it is better to rely on yourself. Better for self esteem. But I suppose you do what you got to do. I have no clue to what the answers are for your question. If I was in that situation I bet I would feel differently.
