I wonder at what point does a person/family hit that flip over point where it becomes more beneficial to not work than it does to work. You know there is a point where this occurs. I just wonder where it is.
well, between food stamps, housing assistance, medical assistance, etc., and the fact that you lose them by getting a job...where's the line drawn? when do you do better not working, not paying taxes and instead reaping benefits at the working taxpayers' expense. where's the line. i know a couple people who've found it. it really DOES make sense for them not to work.
simple math but im sure it's slightly different depending on varying circumstances such as where you live, how many kids you got, etc... I'm thinking around these parts, that figure is somewhere around 40k a year. if you make less than 40k fuck it, quit your job. if you make more, you may be able to live a little better. Not sure though, that figure could be closer to 6 figures. dont doubt me, I have a fine example.
at which point you deem it that way. it's a subjective question. what is more important to the individual, time and freedom.. or money, comfort, and security?
no, there is a non subjective point at which government dollars that you qualify for exceed your personal dollars that you earn. I know my neighbors found it.
so can somebody post a website that helps guide you through all the handouts? I think Im changing affiliation. I want the best of my money AND your money.
Well dave, even though I don't live in the US and therefore it isn't any of my money you are talking about, I will say the same about someone living in canada; Wether you are getting assistance from the government or not, the government will still take my money, so go for it, I like the idea of you spending my money to live, more then I like the idea of the government spending it to kill...
What in the hell does that have to do with what we are talking about... Let me make myself clear, so there is no confusion for those with an extra dose of stupidity in their diet today. Saying I would rather someone used my money to live rather then someone else using it to kill, in no way alters any stance I may or may not have on the defense of a country, just like it in no way alters my stance on wether or not killing civilians can be called 'just', or my stance that child molesting is wrong, or ANY OTHER UNRELATED TOPIC. So deviate, before you go crawling along looking for ways to try egg me into an argument, let me save you the trouble and put you back on the putz list...
damn, who pissed in your wheaties this morning? it was a simple question; you sounded as though you place no importance in any form of fighting. you're on my putz list also. cheers :cheers2:
