30 Hour Famine (charity)

This year, world vision has provided us with the ability to accept online donations for the 30 Hour Famine. This is pretty cool; but I don't know if the 'dreadlocks' sub-forum is the best place for it.

 

I did that a few years ago with my friends church. I was used to fasting so it was easy for me, all the other kids were starving and sneaking candy lol.

 

Yeah the big feast at the end sort of defeats the whole purpose.

 

last year the profits of the big feast went to our holocaust studies trip so it didn't complete defeat the purpose, but I do agree it is quite unnecessary... and I also made a thread in the protest sub-forum, dreadlocks is just the only one I am at least somewhat active in

 

i am having a buffet style 30 hour eating binge to help out the obese foundation of America, you can just send cash to my house..

 

you know i'm sure it used to be the 40 hour famine. why'd they change it?

 

anyone understand why this was moved to mind trips and random thoughts?
