I go to start then MY Computer, then right click the D drive to open and I see a folder with a Locker icon named "recovery" I want to get in their so that i can detele stuff to make my computer run faster!! I tried to defragment my D drive but my comp tells me that it only has 4percent free space?! how can i free up space if my D drive is locked?
if its a recovery drive then deleting files in it will make it impossible for you to re-install windows onto your computer. These files in that drive are literally for windows to reinstall itself. if those get deleted n you format your computer you wont be able to reinstall windows.
Deleting programs will not make the computer fast( more like kill it).. Defragments might help with programs you use often.....
ussually mine gets slower because of youtube n sites like that...(or porn). after the computer saving all that shit for so long its gonna unorganize your whole computer n make things slower. I defrag sometimes but when it gets too bad I jus format Drive C and reinstall windows . hate doing it tho cuz I gotta re download anti virus, updates, Service pack 2, service pack 3 etc; Plus music n all that kind of stuff.
You could have slow internet too, There are times of day that my PC wil take a dive . usually around 8am. This is due to the internet traffic in my area.. Also them stupid Gadgets (time, weather, news) dont have them cause even they take up resources from the cpu..
well i have a box that runs on cable and its never been this slow....I just want my comp to be able to run and view youtube and netflix at a decent speed....
