No, I belive you don't know if you really love someone until at least after the honeymoon period is over. You need to know each other very well before you can say you're in love and that takes a lot of time.

I knew straight away, she knew she felt the same two weeks later...that was when it was too late though as she was only here for 8 days...
Although we have talked intimately for hours everyday for 3 months and were travelling Europe together in August, she already has her plane ticket booked back for a week in June and then another ticket booked for the 26th and then we leave for mainland Europe on the 1st of August :)

I think love is knowing, and respecting someone to your core. Someone you would happily share your life with and start a family with.

I think lust is what happens after 15 days, it can be such a powerful thing, and you can certainly lust someone in other ways than just sexually.

^^^This. You don't love someone 'til you've held a puke bag for them or applied hemorrhoid cream to their ass, or taken care of them through sickness, or endure and forgive something otherwise unforgivable. If you can make it through that stuff, it's love.

It only took 2 weeks to really fall deep with my current girlfriend. I hadn't met her yet so we only talked on the phone (for hours on end) every day up until we finally met... and I was totally in love by that point.

Definitely. Falling in love can take time, or it can all happen so quickly that you have no idea what's happening :D

I think so, love is an overwhelming, powerful thing, I think 15 days is more than enough time to fall in love :D maybe I'm wrong though.... that's just my opinion :D

I don't think you can LOVE somebody after 15 days. You can feel a deep connection, something close to love, but I wouldn't say you "love" them after 15 days necessarily. Although, with my current boyfriend, I met him online, and after a couple weeks, I knew he was the guy I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. I think it just depends on each specific person, if you think that you're in love, you just may be! :D

I think after 15 days you can realize that you're falling in love with a person. Not 100% there yet, but you know it's coming.
That's just my opinion from experience, of course it's different for everyone. :)

yes, i totally agree. I think "love" is such a beautiful dynamic process, that changes over time, especially in the early stages. Like others have said, unconditional love is something that generally happens later on in the relationship, and a lot of people only regard unconditional love as real 'love'.

But I believe love can still start at first sight - its more of an intense interest, lust, feeling of connection...

With my partner, the first time I saw him, I felt this strange awareness come over me, a clarity... he was so interesting, attractive, it was like his aura was beckoning me. And we hadn't even talked yet. When we did, we clicked straight away, but we were both shy, so it took a couple of weeks or so to build up to going on a date. We were together for about 3 weeks, then he had to leave the country (visa), I waited 3 months for my job contract to finish, and I went to live with him for 4 months. It was a gamble, everyone thought I was crazy. Perhaps I was. But it was great! I look back and think I am happy to call this love-at-first-sight... If our connection didn't feel so right, I would never have trusted him to travel to the other side of the world, after only knowing him for 3 weeks, to spend so much time with him.

Personally, I think 15 days is plenty of time to get that feeling of connection and inner 'knowing'

I think all you can really do in 15 days is experience excitement, euphoria, butterflies, attraction and so on but love...nah prolly not.
