Ok so I've wondered this for a while but no one ever really knows.. Is there any difference in pipes? Like which ones work best? Most people just say glass pipes but is there some glass pipes that work better than others? What abot bongs? Thanks
well in my opinion, there is a difference between bongs, somr are double chambers, some have ash catchers, and some have shottys or sliders. pipes to me are all the same unless ur talking about water pipes and bubblers or whatev. sorry if there are aome apelling mistakes, typing this on my iphone
I would go to a local shop where they have all different kinds of pipes, bongs, bowls, etc.. They can tell you how each of them works while showing you each piece.
well, there are differences in pipes. there are different kinds, such as spoons, one-hitters, bubblers, hammers, steamrollers, sherlocks, glass blunts (these are pretty cool if you've never seen/used one before) chillums, etc. each one has its own purpose, with it depending on the user, of course. some are better for when you're alone, others for when you're driving, others for when you're with friends/lots of people, some for when you have really, really good weed, some for poor-quality weed, certain ones for traveling, certain ones that only stay at home... it goes on and on. it all depends on YOU for what purpose your pipe will serve best. and then you have to consider how each of these pieces work. this depends on how they were made. the quality/durability of the material (for all of this, i'm thinking glass, 'cause it's the cleanest for smoking), the funcionality of its set-up, the artistic value and relation to the functionality of the pipe, etc. oh yeah, and how they smoke: how the bowl burns/cherries, how the smoke gets drawn through it, how well the carb works, how it's delivered/pulled to your mouth... it's also important how the features relate to everything else on the pipe... for example, if a pipe sits weird in your hand, the carb. is on the "wrong" side, and you singe your eyebrows while lighting it, the pipe sucks. you know when you find the RIGHT pipe because everything about it falls into place for you. you'll like it based on a number of reasons - but most importantly, only YOU can say whether or not it's a 'good' pipe. the preference of somebody else may not be yours. or everyone can agree that certain pipes just rock and we should all smoke a bowl!
i definitely like bongs better than bowls, because i get much more smoke in my lungs which gets me ripped to shreds.. I still have a nice bowl in my possession i usually use for my hourly bowl here. Every once in a while ill load up a bowl in my bong and let er ripp, and say hello to the moon!
Ok so I'm buying a bong soon and it's staying at my gfs house so I'll only smoke out of it everyonce n a while n I will smoke reggie most of the time but some good stuff sometimes so what would you guys suggest to me for a bong?
think about how much you're willing to spend. then think about the size of bowl you'll need. if you're smoking a lot with yourself or just with one other person, don't get anything TOO big. bongs are known for eating up weed. at least be able to pack a partial bowl without it disappearing too fast. another thing i've learned with bongs is that you'll probably want one with a stem/main shaft that's long enough where water wont splash up to your lips from the base. ice-catchers are nice so you can fill up the shaft with ice cubes/snow for a supreme smoke (some shafts are shaped in such a way that they can hold ice without the catcher). you'll also want it to be fairly sturdy, so it can be passed easily (imagine the different ways it'll be passed and where the pressure's gonna be) and sit well all on it's own. but really, the biggest thing out of all of that stuff is the length of the main shaft/stem. the worst thing that can happen is you get kissed by bong water, which goes in your mouth. not fun.
