I just want to know, if doctors can prescribe you Opiates and all these drugs that people die off of every day, why the fuck is marijuana still illegal in most states? Why can I buy a pack of cigarettes or liquor at any convenient store in America which could cause lung cancer or alcohol poisoning or death from car accident but I can't buy a few joints at the counter? This just makes no sense. We all know marijuana really isn't a gateway drug and it's not even highly addictive. The social aspects of it is what's addicting. It may cause lung cancer but we smoke a lot less of it than Tobacco smokers. People smoke more tobacco than weed. Smoking tobacco is more of a risk.
The government should just legalize it... God knows they'd make a shit load of profit from taxing it..
they dont want to legalize it because its hard to control.. you can grow weed anywhere, and it grows fast.. if it was legalized everybody would have a weed plant in the back yard.
that would be a problem? i understand they have to tax it, but if it was legalized i bet most people would just buy it. i doubt the average american would have the motivation to properly grow it, and if they tried halfassedly they would be very disappointed with the outcome.
cause huffing gasoline is a better high and keeps the Emergency Rooms open.. Cant be closing hospitals now, where would people work then??
Because those opiates have medicinal properties. Marijuana does too, they just ignore the facts because they want to keep everything as it is now. Society functions fine with the illegalization of marijuana, so they don't see a point in changing the laws. It will just take a few decades until all of the remaining old-ass people in congress die out.
