is it in NH? nationals

ive heard many rumors over the past couple months. recently a brother told me its been decided that i was going to be NH. could one of u kind brothers and sisters let me know the scoop.

people tell stories .

we'll know the location in early June . this is when a council makes that decision . the general area of possible sites is simply NorthEasterly - New Hampshire is within that area , so is Vermont , so is N.Carolina , so is Washington D.C. , etc .

certainly some scouts will be focused on the forests of Vermont/New Hampshire . they will inform the council of the possibilities they find .

 

yeah, you might want to wait at least until seed camp is announced before making plans. in '02 i made the mistake of following rumors to the spokane area when the gather was actually held in central idaho...about 500 miles away!

I'm so excited that it is in the northeast. I haven't been to a gathering since Arkansas. I'll be home this year for sure!

 

when and where is spring council for the 2010 gathering?

 

It will be announced on alt.gathering.rainbow sometime around the end of May or the first week in June. Directions will also be posted on http://www.welcomehome.org. There won't be any serious scouting until the snow melts, and from what I've been reading in the papers, that may be a longer time than usual this year.

(At Vision Council it was decided that the 2010 gathering will be in any of the following states: New Hampshire, Vermont, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky.)

I've never been to a gathering either, but I know plenty of family and I'm from the the north east area. and especially since they're not doing rothbury festival this year (the reason I didn't go last year) I should definately be there this year or I really hope to be.

we start scouting again april 1st. @ thanksgiving council we discussed options we considered that spanned the whole range of concensus; southeast 2 northeast. no site is decided yet. just know, we will b there. i love u all

of course if your in the south ya gonna say that. We done the south twice in recent years,,, it has been to long since we were in New England, and if the woods up there are torn up from this past winter, as I am sure they are,,, then thats where we need to be. 2 good reasons to go to New England:

1. It's been to long, and they need a gathering!

2. We can help clean up the woods.
