I lurk when I don't feel like I have anything to say. Especially anything nice to say.

 

I am guilty of this. and in real life, too. I'm more of a listener than a speaker. maybe I'm just boringg.

Most of the people who read but never post anything fall into the category of Lode Lurkers or Whimbrel Watchers, with a few StinkFoot Stalkers and Fuzz Acid Flowers Fans.

And then there are the Penny Paparazzi who are Total Creeps.

 

i sometimes come here, read the new posts, and find that i have nothing to add. i don't consider that lurking.

what i don't get is going to a social forum that you aren't a member of and reading the posts for months without joining. seems sort of like going to a book club in the next town over and standing outside the window watching the meetings, ducking behind a bush every time someone glances your direction.

 

some people enjoy learning about others without engaging

well. I admit I Lurk at times, but then again even with my posting I tend to be shy. LOL

but I post when I feel like it so.

 

So I'm a liar. lol I don't have it in me not to reply.

By the way, I have a dog that looks almost identical to the one in your sig. (Well, she's not really mine, but whatever.) She's the sweetest thing ever and gorgeous.
