What is the point in being good? What is that point in being good? Looking for all walks of life to respond on this topic. Does being good do something for you? What exactly? How does being good pay off in the short run? I mean, when you think about it, you don't have to be good so as long as you don't make real life enemies.

To me, being cool is not being good or evil. I consider myself cool. When you're cool you say and do things that are maybe deemed bad, but not deemed evil. Like MJs "Who's bad?", I'm sort of that kind of bad. The cool bad. And I feel pretty freakin' good being cool minded. I have no enemies except the regular such as the devil and the federal government in this big freakin' war we're all in in one way or another.

I look at good and evil as both evil. You could be so good that you don't comprehend that you are restricting freedom of, say, speech. So, good and evil are one in the same with me. I'd rather hang around people that are cool than good or evil. I never let good people fool me.

    Other examples:

If a good person found $1000 dollars they'd turn it in. If a cool person found $1000 dollars they'd keep it, and figure they were God damn lucky. You always hear a good person say turn yourself in if a warrant is out for you. But they dont care to know the unique situation and circumstances surrounding you. I mean, each person's situation is unique. Take me for instance... I shouldn't go to jail since I am one of those people who can't do number one when it is time to go alieviate myself when being in the presence of other people. A good person don't give a damn about that. Though I feel I have right to self-defense to not put myself in torture like that. In other words, if I had a warrant out for me, I will absolutely not turn myself in. A time ago, when I went into the county, they didn't care about my lil problem even though I told the lady at some desk that asks us questions, and it was torture than a motherfreaker. I vow my self-defense over any thing or any one. It's like my life in exchange for your's. Anyway, you see how if someone is just doing their job they are called a good person? But then you see in my case how come I call the good people evil. Ha!

If I knew what was good I would do it, but since I don't, I will be good instead.

you don't have a very good understanding of the meaning of the word "good," or i don't have a very good understanding of the meaning of the word "good."

maybe you should go to jail, just so you can face your urinary problems and overcome them.

out of curiosity, can you poop in front of people? if so, are you able to urinate in the process, or do you poop while holding in the pee?

well a good person by what you're conceiving is a person giving back material things while doing the "right" thing in their head which in turn makes them feel better, the whole scheme is a bundle of good. A bad person as I'm presuming you think is a selfish person, meaning they don't contribute material things, while making themselves feel better about themselves or not. And as for cool, it can be anywhere on the spectrum of good and bad.

And in a society of 'good', goodness tends to be produced and vice versa for 'badness'. 'Goodness' is fundamentally based on comfort and support hand in hand for all.

This is all fundamentally speaking. And when you bring up jobs, there's no 'goodness' going on besides politeness and respect from the average joes. Jobs is just a funny thing cuz any monetary procedures and principles make corruption

Because life, in general, has a lot of nasty things in it waiting for us - and plenty of nasty people, too. The more of us who try to be 'good' in all things will make life all the more enjoyable for everyone...it supersedes theology.

i think you have to be alert and ready for all kinds of people and situations and go from there. its impossible to be good all of the time, as you'll likely get fucked over. maybe to you thats what it means to be cool, maybe it doesn't. that's not exactly my definition of cool.

on the other hand, it is possible to be bad all of the time....

Banality of evil... most people who do bad things are doing it for pretty average reasons, they think they should, they don't know how else to survive.

I don't know what a good person is. But I know that there is no reason to help people... you don't need one.

the one and only point is that whatever you do the same world all the rest of us have to live in, you still have to live in that same world also. and i really wouldn't expect the next life you live to be all that much different on that score. or the one after that. or the one after the one after the one after the one after the ...

there is no being, only doing, or not doing

I think I have better reasons for not wanting to go to jail. Such as, not wanting to get fucked in the ass every day.
