Today I got burdocks in my hair. I was collecting firewood during my outdoor pursuits class, stood up, and bam, shit in my hair. This stuff is quite hard to get out so I would like to know if anyone knows anything that could make it easier. Such as something to wash my hair with that would loosen the hold they have or good techniques or anything. thanks in advance

    What are burdocks?

Nevermind, looked it up. We called them sticky burrs. And never knew of a great way of getting them out other than ripping and tearing. They are a bitch to get out hair. Maybe some oil? Like coconut or olive oil.

    Oh shit.

I used to hate those things years ago... Not sure there's any where I live now, thank god.

Get that shit out now, before it gets really worked in. When I was a little kid there where shoelaces and stuff that I never got all the bits out of, so if you wait you might end up with them for a looooong time.

I hate those things. I've only ever ripped them out. What a stinky thing to happen to dreads. :(

mayonnaise sounds gross and also hard to get out of dreads.. but yeah a girl in my class and I sat there for like forty minutes just pulling and pulling and pulling. Then when I got home I pulled and pulled and pulled for another good half hour and got most of them out but there's random ones popping up every once in a while. So I may try some olive oil if I keep seeing them but they are pretty well out now

I feel your burdock pain. I once thought I was gonna have to resort to cutting my burred dread. Persistent pulling paid off, though.

A head scarf is now mandatory geocaching wear, for me.

I hear snorting mustard gives you a wicked headrush.
