Although there are certain areas where my family has never been very close. Talking about "personal" matters like sexuality is far too intimate for them. Gay people are an abomination (their feelings) and talking about it would only be teaching people to be gay. It is the same way they view sex-ed... She also shows some signs of being a little racist... which pisses me off. I have torn into her enough on these topics that she rarely says anything around me. Almost all of my family is very homophobic. Although some of the younger people seem to be fairly less homophobic. My father, on the other hand, is very tolerant. But I didn't live with him growing up. We recently had a conversation where gay marriage came up and he said he couldn't see a logical reason to not allow it. 10) If you answered yes to question #7 did this change after you told them? There are a few people who know I would be open to getting freaky with a guy if the mood struck me but for the most part I lean very strongly towards being straight. I've never been with a guy and I may never be with one. Coming out seems a little foolish given my circumstances. I might not fit into your criteria for your class because I am fairly straight. I just admit to being open to new experiences. I don't see the need to come out because I don't see my sexuality as something that is in anyway abnormal. I think that most honest people who didn't have hangups would admit to feeling this way. I don't know... maybe people don't. 12) Have you ever attended any gay or lesbian support groups?
